Chapter 12

The show was amazing.

"Right guys. This is our last live performances of year 3000" Matt said into his mic

"We have had a great 27 ish years and it's been amazing." Danny said I could see the boys welling up and trying to keep it together

"You have all been amazing." James said

"We want to thank each and every one of you for supporting us over the last 27 years and before that with the separate bands Mcfly and Busted." Tom said

"But most of all we want to thank our wives who have been our rocks and our life lines and who have put up with us being away for months at a time." Harry said

"But I want to thank my amazing wife. Who is not only my wife the mother to our 4 beautiful children but who has travelled around the world a hundred time and back again and not once complained but most of all she has cared for us when we have broken something." Dougie said

"Fallen off the stage." Matt said

"Cut hands open." Harry said

"Spent hours massaging us when we have been in pain." Tom said

"Someone who took over from the creepy medic before her." James said

"Someone who has seen our bare arse more times than our wives have." Danny said there was a slight giggle from the crowd at this

"And someone who has put up with me for nearly 25 years. She put everything on hold just to be with me. I would like to thanks my amazing wife. Who I am proud to call my wife. Rhianne babe please come on stage." Dougie looked at me and I wasn't ready I didn't look my best or anything but I still went out to the screams and cheers. Dougie took me by the hand got down on one knee and said "Rhianne 25 years I have been married to you and not a day goes by when you don't make me smile. You have helped me a lot over the past 5 years and have been my rock the whole time. Would you please on our 25 wedding anniversary this year please marry me again."

I had gone scarlet. I just nodded lost for words. He got up and hugged me. The crowd cheered and clapped.

Then the boys launched into Year 3000 and I jumped and sang along with everyone else. The show finished and it was 11:30 on New Year's Eve the boys stood in a line and took there last ever bow the crowd cheered and clapped the boys had tears running down the faces. You could see it in the faces that they didn't want it to end they had had such a good time. They came off stage and hugged each other in one massive hug. I saw in Dougie's eyes and I just put my arms around him and didn't let go for about 10 minutes.

The countdown was amazing all the Mcbusted boys all the 5sos boys and Zayn, Niall. Sid and Harry aswell as Brad Tristan and Conor. were all stood looking out to the London eye ready for the countdown to come it started.

60 seconds. Then 40 seconds. Then 20 seconds. Then 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. 2041.

The screams of happy new year and everyone giving each other a hug rang through the park. But the Mcbusted boys smiled gave each other a hug and hung their heads. It was the end of an era the end of something that had been amazing but had come to an end. You could see it in their face that they were sad. Nothing was said, nothing was done we got in our cars and drove home.

The twins had fallen asleep so I put them straight into bed. Seb went straight to bed as well. So it was just me and Dougie. Dougie burst into tears.

I wrapped my arms around him and held him tight just the. There was a knock on the door as if they knew something was up, all the other 5 Mcbusted boys walked in. All of them tears streaming down their faces.

Some would call it stupid or pathetic to be crying over this. But it was all the boys knew Dougie had been 15 when he had join mcfly he had always been the baby of the group. The other boys looked after and made sure he was ok. All the boys had grown up in music it was all they knew. They didn't know about 'normal' life. There was no stopping them, mind they would carry on writing for other artists no questions asked but there music had come to an end their lives as musicians had come to an from end. They all still had lives music lives but releasing albums had stopped which the boys were not happy about but could live with. The next biggest project that they had been asked to do was to travel out to Australia and go visit some extremely ill children for children in need worldwide a new charity that had been set up to help children fighting for their lives. The boys had jumped at the chance but it wasn't until the end of this year. Scary it now being the 1st January.

The boys spent the night telling stories about things that had happened over the last 27 years of being in Mcbusted and some of them were really funny and some seemed really sad now. Losing a member of the touring team to cancer at the start of the fair well tour. Things like that they made the boys look back and how much fun they had had over the time and it made me smile to sit and watch them having a couple of beers and storytelling I didn't say anything I just sat, watched and listened.

It was well past 3:30 before everyone had left and I climbed into bed. I rolled over and looked into Dougie's eyes and said "what you thinking about?"

"This new band we're writing for. Great bunch of guys full of energy and such a laugh theres 6 of them and they sort of remind me of Mcbusted they play their own instruments and everything there amazing to watch and listen to." Dougie said I just smiled I didn't really know what to say.

"I hope they have the same success that we have had." Dougie said looking at me

"With you guys writing their music I'm sure they will." I said smiling

"You think so." Dougie said

"I know so." I said kissing him and rolling over Dougie wrapped his arms around me and pulled me in tight.
