Tyla's pov

So the rest of the day went pretty well besides the fact that my heart was beating 10000 beats per second because Josh fricking Dun asked me out. I thought about how everything would go down. He would pick me up at 7 like he promised just before he left for his break. I don't know what I would wear though. Should I wear a dress? No I've never worn a dress since forever. Should I change it up for Josh? Nah I would be all weird about it but would he think I didn't put any effort for this date? Wait should I even call it a date? Ok I'm over thinking this. Just relax and be yourself. I'm sure Josh will appreciate that. He's simple and yet so perfect in every way.

CRING (my impression of how a school bell sounds)

Shoot. I've been daydreaming through Mr. Stump's class. Now I have no idea about the assignment he was blabbering on about. Oh well. I never was doing well in his class anyway. I head to the door, ready to get home as soon as possible so I could really ridicule my flaws and polish myself up so I can hide behind my insecurities.

"Ok class don't forget about the assignment and make sure to hand it in on time. Preferably by this Friday." Mr. Stump reminded us. I was far too busy thinking about more important stuff.

Time skip to home.

I walk through the doors of my own home and I'm filled with the usual silence of my house. Mom's out working and I'm left alone as per usual. I grab a glass of water and head upstairs, careful not to spill any on the way. I hop in the shower and properly groom myself so I can impress Josh tonight. I shave my legs and after I'm done, apply a sweet smelling body lotion all over so my skin is nice and smooth. Not that Josh is gonna be feeling it anyway. ;)

I open my closet and I'm spoilt for choice. Should I wear my black shirt with black jeans or should I wear my black jeans with a black shirt? Such pressing decisions. In the end I choose a flowy long sleeved shirt which is black in colour of course along with a pair of skinny blue jeans. I must say I look quite stunning. Although I bet anyone could tell this isn't me. I'm more of the type to match t-shirts and loose shorts. I dress casual like all the time. Oh well hopefully Josh likes it cause he's the only reason I put more than 5 minutes into my outfit.

I head downstairs and open my music gallery. All my Twenty One Pilots songs are displayed in front of me. I put on my favourite atm which just so happens to be the most played. What a coincidence.

Im fairly local
Ive been around
Ive seen the streets
Youre walking down
Im fairly local
Good people now
Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh

I start to really get into it like I always do and I start doing the Tyler dance from Holding Onto You. I know it's not the right song but I just cant help it. As I'm dancing I didn't realise the doorbell ringing and I also didn't realise that my front door was wide open, basically inviting anyone in.

Josh's pov

I reach Tyla's house and I'm greeted with her front door wide open and a dancing Tyla in the middle of the hall. She's so cute. Might I just add that her outfit looks amazing as well. I decide to just let her dance it out. She keeps going

Im evil to the core
What I shouldnt do I will
They say Im emotional
What I wanna save Ill kill
Is that who I truly am?
I truly dont have a chance
Tomorrow Ill keep the beat
And repeat yesterdays dance

Hey I recognise this song. It's Twenty One Pilots. Wow she has great music taste.

"Hey I love this band." I blurt out
Tyla turns around shocked at my sudden intrusion.
"Omg Josh. I'm so sorry you had to see that. Um we should get going. I've embarrassed myself enough." She says trying to shy away. I grab her arms that are almost covering her entire face and make her look at me.
"Hey. Dont be shy ok? I want you to be as comfortable as possible when you're with me. Your dancing was fantastic btw." Her face instanty lights up. "Oh. Uh thank you Josh."
"Of course Tyla. Let's get going shall we?"
"Yea let's go."
