Rogue meet Beta

chapter 6

Kaylee's point of view.

it's been a little over month and everything is slowly starting to feel like a normal life in this setting. I am learning the responsible of a beta female in a proper pack.
My responsibilities are to help watch and teach the pups in the pack. I have no problem helping watch a pack couple's pups while they go out to work. Since Brianna is suppose to help teach pack females with mother hood and being a wolf. I haven't really seen her . So today we are taking a break from packly duties to spend time with each other.

Deacon and Logan are out in the Field. So when Brianna came to the house. She looked nervous. I smiled at her handing her a apple juice and she sighed " Don't freak out, but I am late by a week. "

I spit my apple juice  all over rhe kitchen and mind linked deacon. 'I gotta run to market just  with Brianna and I we will be back shortly.'

Deacon just responded with an okay .
I pulled Brianna to the car and drove out of pack compound to local gas station and bought a pregnancy test.
I had Brianna take it there while I was waiting out side the bath room door . The smell hit me like a brick to the nose. I froze and fought to stay calm it was male rogues.

I bang my hand against the bathroom door and Brianna came out and showed me. Two pink lines. She is going to have a pup. I pushed her into the car handed her the keys told her to go home.

By the time she shut door.  And pulled away
A hand fell on to my shoulder. I turned around saw three big guys there scruffy faces , long hair and scars covers them told me alot. They weren't just any rogues they were paid rogue's.  They do dirty deeds between packs. I knew their faces from deacons paper work.

I growled grabbing the guys hand snapping it backwards he fell down to his knees hold his arm. I growled again saying " You boys are stupid! You picked the wrong bitch."

I punch one guy he hit the wall while the other grabbed me from behind and laughed. " Poor little beta rogue all alone "

I let him pull me into the woods and i shifted there letting out a howl then deacons voice rang out in my head 'Kay I am coming hold on.'

I snorted i did not need help lile he thought I did. I was now fight two oversized wolves , while the guy with a broken arm snapped orders at them .
I wasnt losing but I wasn't winning plenty of my own blood and fur was hitting the ground along with theirs. Deacon and other pack members foot step could be heard. When the guys with broken arm step back and pulled out a gun.  I stood there growling he let out a shot. I snarled jumping at him and ripping his arm completely off. He let out a scream and his buddy dragged him off, deacon step out of woods with the others.

Kay you bleeding alot. I am sorry I wasn't quicker. He sighed looking at me.

I shift back and stumble to stay on my feet I looked down and notice the bullet wound in my side and all the bite marks that were healing slowly. The bullet was still inside and wasn't gunna heal til it was removed. Deacon shift back and he ran to me panicing saying "someone get the pack doctor , oh Kay I am sorry I should have gone with you."
