Chapter 4

Deacons point of view †*************

I heard the door open and kaylees voice greet Logan and Brianna . I heard the girls giggle and run for hwr room . Logan walked into my office  like he was pissed off and sat across from me and sighed heavily.  I put the papers down that I grabbed from him and asked him  " Alpha whats the matter . "

Logan looked pissed beyond belief . He was fighting for control with his wolf and he slowly spoke
" Snow foot pack is almost here . I don't think this is going to go well at all. Not after confirming with a few other packs, that their alphas  was insane driven with the idea pure blood females should only be used by alphas."

I looked at Logan calmly stating

" Yes but there alpha is no more remember . Its there beta acting as alpha and he training his son and another to be alpha and beta . it should go smoothly ."

Logan shook his head
" I need you here deacon , send Bradley and John with the girls its not gonna be easy with Kaylee's father. He has already demand he brings the girls home."

I nobbed my head and before i knew bradley and john where here in the living room waiting i mind linked my mate' baby i have to stay but two member of the pack are going with you too be safe . "

she mind linked back ' I figured as much i was a betas daughter's remember, its why i had you mark me.  When i get back. I will make dinner to night .

I smiled at her always so cunning and smart . I left my house with Logan and headed to the pack house to await the snow foot pack.

Kaylees point of view †***************#

Everything was running smoothly Bradley and John carried a lot of it to the trucks and my house was cleared. We didn't have much just mostly clothes bathroom items and some food . I grabbed alot of our pictures, they were just Brianna and I.

Brianna was at the trucks as I locked the place up and I left a note for the landlord . I could hear her whining because Bradley and John keep calling her Luna and its driving her crazy .
I giggle and told her several times its because she mated to the alpha and the only reason I don't call her Luna is because she is my sister basicly .

Now let me tell you something about these boys they are about 6' 2 each. Very tall compared to us and built like everyone else in the pack . They both have mates johns decide to stay human after the mark  but with Bradleys  she went through the changed it nearly killed her so she doesn't shift often.

I found out Logan isn't as mean as rumour say he is . He really cares about the happiness of his pack . He never forces a female mate to change and become warriors even tho a lot of females change.  I found out there are a lot of mates in this pack that are human yet . I smiled it's a nice freedom to have, there are days i wish Iwasn't a wolf.

I walked to the boys and Brianna and barked an order
"Alright lets get this crap home."

Everyone laughed and Bradley and Brianna got in one truck and I got in the truck with john . We were driving home and it was quiet so I decide to mind link deacon
' deacon how's your pack work going. '

I felt him tense up and answer
' its going steady I guess . are you safe and on your way back.'

I felt as something was wrong when I was replying I question
'of course we are safe and yeah we are coming back now only a few minutes away now. What's wrong and going on.'

We pulled into the pack house driveway and I felt it . I felt there presence and my whole body began to shake but not because I need to shift this was fear . Just in time deacon linked back saying

' take Brianna to our house and have Bradley and john stand guard outside '

I looked at John must have been mind linked by deacon also he drove right by the pack house and I looked back standing out side with some pack member was my mother. I huffed and my wolf growled  . We pulled up to Deacons house . I got out and right when I was about to walk in the house ,her voice rang out my name.
" Kayleen rose.!"

Everyone and everything froze. Brianna went to turn around to face her and I pushed her towards the house and I sternly snapped turning to look at her " Kayleen rose died along time ago. You should know all you did was stand by and watch her be murder slowly. "

My mother's age was showing . Her once smooth skin was wrinkled and her once shining hair was dull and boring. She busted into tears after my words burned her and she replied

"I can see you are very different , my daughter you look beaten and woren . You fought many battles as rogue even killed I know . You never should have... "

I couldn't take listening to her anymore she was not a mother she should have been.

"Enough just turn and leave. My battles never caused an issue for your pack. We stayed in no man's lands. Just leave here, I am a lost clause." I snapped and slammed deacon  doors shut.

Brianna looked at me with worried filled eyes. I smiled and said 'we should start dinner . Its getting late.'

We both smiled and walked into the kitchen and I opened the fridge and pulled out a beef roast and asked Brianna to start potatoes and biscuits . I started seasons the roast and put it in the oven and started to make an apple cider pie . Around 5 o' clock Brianna and I were cleaning the kitchen and the door opened, Deacon and Logan walked in and I smiled and greeted "hello boys dinner will be done in about ten minutes . If you have that long before you can go back."

Logan went to hug Brianna and he just held her something was wrong. I could tell deacon stood by me and smiled telling  me
" dinner would be amazing to take a break from that discussion. What are we eating beautiful."

I hugged him and replied "we have a beef roast and mashed potatoes with gravy and Brianna made her baked corn and biscuits and I made a surprise pie. "

The boys set the table and Brianna and I brought the food out . We all eat like a family, smiled and laughed . The guys even all did the dishes . Logan and Brianna left he was gunna take her to their room and have her guarded there.

Deacon pulled me close and hugged me from behind and whispered " please sleep in my room tonight I won't be here right away we are still talking with the ..."

"Snow foot pack." I Huffed out in anger

Deacon walked me to his room, he tried to pull me into his room but i stopped him and i shook my head, so he sighed and walked me into my room. Deacon sat on the bed and sighed
" yeah there wanting either you too returned or exchanged for your freedoms protection and land use. Which we aren't having either so its a long battle of discussion and will s. "

I started to change into one of my shirts and his sweat pants and he got sad I felt it and turned around quickly and looked at him and asked " what's wrong deacon."

He Sighed " your beautiful my beauty but you look like you went through a single war by your self . Your scars every single one has a story and I want to know them all one day .  I will never let you get another one I promise. "

I laughed pointing to a freshly pink new scar . It is my left shoulder and it is about three inches long  an  a inch wide I said
" this one was from a another rogue male I closed the diner  was walking home and he jumped me . His claw enter my shoulder and about entered my lung but instead I left him for dead . I didn't even have to change. Any more battle and fighting they are so second nature i don't flinch at the pain anymore."

Deacon just shook his head and hugged me tighter kissed my cheek said he had to go and for me to sleep well. He tucked me into my bed and shut my room door.
