As I looked up I was shocked what I saw. Edward was standing behind the girl. The knife was in the girl's back right between her wings. She was motionless as Edward pulled it out of her. He stepped back quickly and gently pulled me away from her as she fell to her knees. Her face remained the same. Wide eyed and her lips were slightly parted. Then her face suddenly started to crack. And soon all I could hear was glass shattering. When it was over her whole body fell to the ground as soon as she reached it she became dust. The wind became stronger and the gentle blow carried it away. I watched as it disappear in the air.

"Bella?" I heard him gently whisper. I turned my head towards him but I quickly turned it back because pain came over me. I touched my probably coal black neck and hissed in pain. When he saw this he picked me up in bridal style. This why I saw the alley but not the male dark angel whose lightning hit my ankle and wrist. My eyes were locked to the place where he was the last time I saw him. Edward probably saw my panicked expression because he spoke up. "Don't worry. He escaped when I killed the other one." I nodded a little just to let him know I heard him.

He held me tightly but it didn't hurt, in fact it was comforting to be in his arms again. He started to run out of Forks. He only stopped when we were deep in the forest. Then he started to walk.

"Thank you for saving me." I said to him gently. He just smiled with sadness in his eyes.

"I can say the same thing." He mumbled and I shook my head.

"No, it's different. You were so brave Edward."

"Bella stop it. If I had protected you better the first place we wouldn't be in this situation." He said and I saw the guilt in his eyes.

"It wasn't your fault Edward." I saw that he didn't believe me and that he wasn't ready to talk about it yet, so I changed the topic. Though it became harder to talk with every second.

"Where are we going?" My voice was raspy and I felt weak. All of the energy was drowned of me.

Edward hearing my voice picked up his speed. "I am taking you to Carlisle. He might can do something about your injuries." I doubt that.

"I don't think so Edward. He doesn't even know about white angels. You don't need to take me to him, but I might know who can help. There's a pond in the forest.." He shook his head in anger.

"No Bella. Carlisle could find out something."

"No!" I yelled. I saw him flinch from the sound of my voice, so I softened it. "Look, just take me to that lake. If it doesn't work you can ask Carlisle for help."

"No Bella, you don't see yourself right now. You are getting weaker with every second and you look like you are about to shatter into pieces like the other one back there." He said and I realised he wasn't angry. He was affraid. Edward was afraid that he would lose me again. I couldn't blame him, I felt the same way about him.

"Don't be afraid." I touched his cheek weakly. He leaned into my touch as he continued.

"I can't help it Bella. In the past two months I lived in a world where you didn't exist for me. I never ever want to live in that pain again and I am not going to let you die when I got this second chance with you." I saw venom in his eyes. My heart clenched at the sight.

"I understand, I felt like I lost you forever too. I was afraid that you would realise it too late that I was back and I would lose you again." I whispered.

"I am sorry that I was so stupid not to see what was in front of me. I was so full of anger and sadness that I didn't realise that you needed me." He kissed my forehead and I sighed in happiness. This was real. This was Edward.

"It wasn't your fault I could have done a better job making you realise. And don't even try to say it otherwise Edward." He shut his mouth and I smiled at him weakly. "Listen, there's a lake in the forest. You need to take me there. I knew you think it's stupid but both of us know that Carlisle won't be able to help in time."

He sighed in deafet but nodded. "Where is this place?" He asked and I realised that I had no clue about that. I always stumbled into that place accidently. I knew what direction it might be in from the meadow.

"Go to the meadow first I think I know it from there." He pursed his lips but didn't say anything as he took off.

We reached the clearing less than five minutes and I struggled to keep my eyes open. Edward turned me around so I didn't need to turn my head. When my eyes landed on two bushes something started to pull me in that direction.

"That way." I pointed to it and Edward instantly took off. When I felt like we were close I told him to stop. He looked around and looked down to me worriedly.

"Bella there's nothing here beside trees and bushes." I knew he was ready to take me to Carlisle so I ignored the pain and looked around.

I almost didn't see it. It was behind lots os bushes and trees but it was there. I pointed to it and his eyes went wide when he saw it too. We were next to it before I could blink. He held onto me tightly as he kneeled down next to it.

"Now what?" He asked and I saw in his eyes that the concern and fear was eating him in the inside.

"I don't really know." I whispered. I wanted to connect to Sky and Twinkle. But last time it was enough to call them in my mind and they just appeared in the lake. But now I had already done that and nothing happened.

"Bella." His voice was tense and I knew he was out of patience, but he also knew that he couldn't do anything. Carlisle couldn't help, the angels were nowhere and I was slowly dying in his arms, again.

I leaned my head against his shoulder and let out a sob. "I thought it would work."

"Shh love. It's alright. We will get through this together." He caressed my cheek and tried to reassure me, but I saw the agony in his eyes. "We will." He mumbled to himself.

Suddenly, without warning the wind became stronger. It blew several leaves and twigs at us. Edward shielded me from the most of them. As quickly as it came the wind died down. Edward looked at my face and frowned. I was worried that somehing happened but he shook his head.

"Don't worry just some dirt." He put his hand in the water then wipped the dirt off. The cool water felt good on my skin and a drop slipped down on my face to my neck. I heard Edward gasp when this happened.

"What?" My eyes were closed as I whispered quietly. I was so weak. Even breathing caused me pain. It felt like some poison was spreading inside of me. Where it reched me I started to burn in the inside, it wasn't as painful to make me scream but it was like the fire was using my energy for fuel.

"The water. Where it touched your neck, the blackness disappeared." I opened my eyes and he quickly rubbed more water onto my neck. I felt the pain slowly go away. He took my wrist and put it into the lake.

I felt my strength already returning. I tried to get up and Edward helped me. I wanted to put my ankle in the water because it still hurt. But I was too weak to stand up properly and I slipped and fell in, pulling Edward with me. Though as I surfaced I felt much better. I looked around for Edward and suddenly he came up in front of me.

"How did you managed this?" He asked in disbelief and I threw my head back and let out a joyful laugh.
