We drove down to round-a-bout and turned left. We drove into a little dirt road with the sign out the front labelled "Spooky Beach".
"Don't worry Kyles" Matty said. "Its not actually a "spooky" beach. Its pretty popular, not as popular as Pippi but, we all love this beach." he said
We drove down to the end and there was a small car park. There were some range rovers and a kombi van. Matty parked his car and turned off the radio. I stood up out of Matty's ford and looked over the beach. The wind made my hair whip around and you could smell the ocean. The sound of the waves relaxed me. It was really nice. It had surfers, little kids and people tanning. Even though it was about 3:30 in the afternoon. Still there was only bout 10 people on the beach. One thing that's wrong. They said we were going to the Blue Hole and this is a beach. Stella came up next to me and looked over the beach as well. She pointed at something. I whipped my head towards where she was pointing and all the way to the far right corner at the edge of the rocks, was Jess and Dane waving at us. I waved back and looked over to Stella with a confused look on my face.
"That's where the blue hole is" She said. "Its just behind those trees over there but we have to walk round to it, but hey, we can collect shells on the way" she said
"Stella, no more jars full of shells, I cant fit anymore into my house" Matty said. Stella glared at him and hit his arm. I stood there silently, once again confused.
"We play challenges at the Blue Hole. And Stella loves giving people prizes." Matty informed
"What? They look cool" She said
"I would love one" I chimed in as we started making our way down the stairs towards the sand.
We walked along the soft sand and made our way towards the rocks. I walk along the rocks step by step, keeping an eye out for really nice shells. We make it to the edge of the rocks and there is a little dirt path. There are two very over grown trees blocking the site of what is on the other side of the little 2 metre dirt path. Matty goes first and disappears behind the tree's. I can hear Dane and Jess greeting Matty. Stella come up behind me, arms full of shells.
"Cmon" she ushers as she disappears behind the dense leaves. I take a couple of steps and push the tree branches out of my face. Before me is a beautiful, natural pool of water, there are about 3 people up the top of the cliff and 2 more in the water. There are a few parents sitting on the rocks watching their kids swimming and playing.
"KYLIE!" Jess screams as she comes up and gives me a kiss on the cheek and a tight hug. She let go of me and went back to Dane who gave me that nod/greeting thing guys do. I glanced back over to the three kids and watched as one of them ran and leaped off the ledge.
"ARE WE READY!" Matty screams.
"YEEAAAHHHH!" Everyone but me replies
"Let us try that again, KYLIE" Matty says. "ARE WE READAY!"
"YEEAAAHHHH!" We all scream
"LETS GOOOOOO!" Dane dramatically yells.
Everyone starts stripping down into their swimmers and I start to as well. Once we are changed with all our stuff dumped on the ground, they all start sprinting to the cliff. Me following close behind. They all started using trees and ledges to climb to the top. Matty kept stopping and pushing me up. To do that he has to touch my butt.
"Gonna jump off the top?" Matty asked as he arrived to the top of the cliff.
"Hell yeah." I said as Matty grabbed my hand and pulled me up. Jess, Dane and Stella were waiting for me to walk over.
"You First Kylie." Jess said. I walked to the edge of the cliff and peered over to the water. Oh my god. It was much higher than I though.
"Ummm..." I said unsure. I turned around to look at them with a sheepish grin.
"To late Kylie." Dane said
"You already agreed, no getting out now" Stella said. I twisted my mouth in thought.
"Can someone go with me?" I asked with my version of an "innocent, cute" smile
"I will" Matty said with a grin. I walked over to him so we could have about 3 metres of a run up. He took my hand and I looked over to the edge I was about to jump off. My heart was beating. I don't know if it was because of the jump or because Matty was holding my hand. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath.
"3" Dane said
"2" they all chanted
"1" I screamed.
My feet took off. Me and Matty ran straight for it. I took my last step and pushed myself forwards away from the edge of the cliff. I Felt my arm go above my head as Matty put his up. I Screamed as we fell. My stomach dropping as I looked down at the water rapidly approaching. I squinted my eyes closed as the water went up my body. The speed of the fall was slowed down under the surface of the water. It over took my body, and i felt like a achieved a great goal. Matty's hand let go of mine as we both swam to the top. I broke out from the surface of the water and could hear Dane, Jess and Stella chanting my name. I turned in the water to see Matty come up and smile at me.
"That was awesome!" I said still treading water with Matty. He swam closer to me, still with a giant grin. He leaned his head in to mine, and my instincts were to do the same. He grabbed my waist under the water and pulled me to him. His soft lips pressing against mine. It was a perfect moment. But you cant ever savour a perfect moment can you? No Dane had to ruin it didn't he.
Before I had time to pull away I was hit by a body landing on mine and me getting shoved under water. I swam back up to see Dane had jumped on top of me. Before I could yell at him Stella and Jess jumped in, practically drowning me in water.
"You guys are crazy!" I said

"Hey Nana Joy" I said entering the house dreamily. I stayed at the blue hole till about 5 then Matty dropped me back here, giving me a kiss on the cheek as I got out.
"Hello, where have you been all day?" Nana Joy asked suspiciously.
"You know, just went to the beach and chilled" i replied while sitting down on the couch.
"Who with?" She asked. I could feel her waiting for me to say Matty and the gang.
"Myself, im trying to not hang with those people like you said" I lied.
"Good" she replied, i let out a little sigh of relief.
