Flower gleam and glow
Let your powers shineBucky struggled against the binding that held him down to the operating table by the torso, seeing as to how he'd lost an arm when he fell.
"You'll never break me!" He shouted, struggling against yet another attempted wiping.
"We will see." Zola smiled, his lips curling in an evil grin.
Make the clock reverse
Bring back what once was mineBucky looked emotionlessly at the newspaper clipping in front of him. His flesh and newly metal hand were cuffed behind his back, his hair grown past the tips of his ears, tracing his prominent and sunken cheek bone.
"This isn't real." He wheezed.
"It's very real, Mr. Barnes." Zola cooed, coughing violently afterwards. "Steven is dead."
Bucky shuddered at his words, flinching away as if they physically hurt him. Zola rose and left him there, reading the article over and over again, trying to process that Steve was, in fact, gone.
Heal what has been hurt
Change the Fates' design"He will comply." Zola promised, James following close behind him. "Please sit, Soldier."
Bucky obliged, sitting numbly in the black, beaten chair. He had cried all of the tears he had. He had lived through what he thought to be the worst a man could face.
He had made a decision.
Save what has been lost
Bring back what once was mineBucky grabbed the operators arm, alarming the guards surrounding him. But when they saw him stare straight ahead, they were more confused than alerted.
James whispered a single sentence before he lost himself.
What once was mine
"I don't want to remember a thing."
