A/N: I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I know I took AGES to update, school stuff and writer's block were getting in the way (including MEETING LECX aka the other half of this account) but it's finally here!

Meet me in the parking lot

I pressed the 'send' button and set my sparkly flip phone down.
Yesterday, I asked Ross about Calum, how he knew him. He brushed off my question, only saying something about "bad timing with good people".
After we drove out the drive-through, Ross simply dropped me and my food at home and drove off without a word.
I was expecting some kind of bad reaction, but "cold as ice" was definitely not in my predictions.
I didn't mind, but since he decided to suddenly turn into an iceberg, our business had to be done.

I felt a presence next to me, and as I turned, I was welcomed by a familiar blond mess.
"Okay Lynch, let's get this over with, what do I owe you?"
It was the end of the school day and I could finally feel at least safe over this.
I've seen Chuck passing the hallways. He spotted a purple mark upon his left eye. I'm sure he did see me, but he obviously wouldn't dare to look at my face.
Even though I didn't think violence was the best answer, it was the price to pay to keep my secret.
And I doubt Chuck would dare to do anything after that.
He crossed his arms "I don't need anything for now, your highness." he said, emotionless "But when I think of something, I'll let you know"
I looked back at the parking lot, where people hurriedly got into their cars, ready for the weekend.
Kira waved goodbye at me, getting in her red convertible, probably leaving earlier than usual to start to set things up for later. Her parents - that were loaded, I must say - were out of the town for the weekend, so she was throwing a party tonight, and I'm pretty sure she invited the entire school.
"So, are you coming to Kira's party ton-"
But when I turned back, he was gone as fast as he arrived.

--

I drank the rest of the red plastic cup down.
The song was loud, people were dancing and every once in a while someone came to greet her.
It was the usual kind of parties we organized.
Everyone was having their own kind of fun, the beer pong was set up right next to the pool table, but this time, Kira asked everyone to smoke on the porch or in the backyard because her parents could smell smoke from a mile away.
My eyes roamed the small, crowded room, not any sign of Maia anywhere.
That is, until I felt two hands covering my eyes.
A smile crept up my lips as I heard her whisper "Meet me on the garden."
As I felt Maia's hands leaving my face, I looked back, just to see her leaving.
I made sure no one was paying attention before I left to the backyard.
The Starr's house's backyard was some really huge, well-planned garden.
Some exotic flower bushes framed the medium Greek-styled staircase that lead to the little maze made with high bush walls in the middle, around a little fountain. The moonlight made everything glow and it was my only way to find Maia inside the plant maze.
Our lips connected and I felt her smile during the kiss.
I heard something that sounded like "I missed kissing you so much."
But before we could repeat it, a yell made us freeze.
"COPS!!!"
A panicked look was mirrored in both of our faces. Maia grabbed my wrist and we ran as everything started processing in my head faster than a bullet.
We couldn't be caught running off the maze together.
I couldn't go to the police office. I wasn't stoned or drunk, but I'm sure that I'm not anywhere sober.
We need to get out of here, fast.
So I pulled my wrist back.
"GO!"
Her eyes widened "I'm not leaving without you, are you insane?!"
The sound of sirens could be heard from a distance, and panic was starting to kick in.
I gave her a quick peck in the lips, hoping it would reassure her
"I'm right behind you. Just go."
The Australian hesitantly looked at me before she ran off.
I ran to the opposite way, knowing my way out of there.
I skipped up the steps and found a chaos inside the house.
People were jumping off the windows in a non-effective, desperate to escape. Others were hiding everything they could in the corners of the house - including themselves.

I ran towards the door, but before I could register what was happening, my arm was pulled and I was being dragged upstairs.
"What the fuck?! What do you think you're-"
A hand covered my mouth and my eyes met hazel ones, just as I heard the officers barging in.
"Stay quiet and be fast."
I observed speechless as Ross entered a room, and opened the window.
He looked down, then back at me.
"What are you-"
But then, my words were cut short, because he jumped.
He jumped off the window.
I ran to it in an impulse, seeing him brushing the leaves off his jacket on ground level.
Then he looked up at me expectantly.
"Oooh no. You're not seriously expecting me to jump, are you?!"
"Just do it! It's not even that high!"
I sat on the window pane and hesitated.
"I- I don't think I can!"
"It's the only way to not end your night behind metal bars."
I looked at him, and thought about the situation.
It was a 12 feet fall, and there was no way my clumsy self would make it out without getting any broken bone.
But I saw the flashlights coming upstairs, and I let my body slip.
I closed her eyes, already embracing the pain.
But it didn't come at all as my body was caught by two strong arms and I was set down on the floor safely.
Without another word, he looked ahead and took off to the street.
I quietly followed him, but stopped dead in my tracks as a helmet was thrown at me.
He turned on the Harley's engine and stared at me "You coming or not?"

I was afraid of motorcycles since I was little. All of them reminded me of all those accidents in the news, my cousin ended up in the hospital once because of one of these.
"Look, you either come or walk your way back. You jumped off a window to give up now?"
But I couldn't walk my way back. I lived four neighborhoods away and I needed to take a ride with Cassidy to get here in the first place.
So I put on the helmet and jumped up - with his help - in the motorcycle.
"Hold tight."
I held in the metal behind his seat and he looked back questionably.
What?
I was not gonna be seen hugging Ross Lynch on his bike.
"I'm okay. I don't need to hold onto you. Go."
He smirked as the motorcycle took off.
"Whatever you say princess."
"Why aren't you wearing a helmet?"
"My apologies. I didn't really plan on saving your highness tonight."
He started going slow, but as we got in the main road, he picked up an absolutely unnecessary fast speed.
"Ross."
I was gonna fall.
So I instinctively hugged his waist, knowing he had a smug smirk without even seeing his face.
That didn't quite slow him down. The faster the bike went, the tighter my grip on him got.
"Can't you go any faster?" I yelled
But apparently, that boy didn't understand sarcasm.
He picked up the speed even more.
"ROSS!!!"
I felt him laugh as he slowed down a bit.
And I stood there, holding onto him as my life depended on it - because it actually did.
They sped down the avenue and I wondered in how in a matter of seconds I ended up with Ross Lynch riding a motorcycle.
I was still terrified, but as the blocks and cars passed by, I could feel my body relax a bit.
He slowed down as we entered my neighborhood, and he parked about a block away from my house.
"Thanks for the ride, but my house is in the next block" she said, confused.
He held his arm to the side and she repeated the process of getting in the bike reversely, stepping down off the ride and taking off the helmet.
He took it from my hands and put it on. "And I bet daddy would love to see his little princess arriving at 2AM in a motorcycle." His eyes met mine, but they had something different in them now.
They were empty.
"You have legs. Use them."
And there it was.
The coldness, again.
How could the guy that caught me in the window suddenly turn into this jerk again?
I searched for his eyes, looking for any kind of explanation, but they avoided me as he revived the engine again.
My mouth dropped as he took off in full speed, leaving me alone in the dark street without another word.
I don't know what set him off like that.
But I was definitely going after some answers and I was not taking no as one of them.
