Chapter Two

Nicknames and Files

"Sanders," Ann greeted walking into her boss's office cautiously. She knew three out of the four shadows, which came to light as she walked in. Who could miss Illya? He looked about 6'5" to Ann, with blonde hair and bright blue eyes as she could remember from being held so close. Solo sat in one of Sanders' guest chairs, and Gaby stood next to Illya.

"Millington, I assume the mission went according to your plan," Sanders said dryly. She cocked her head to the side glaring at him.

"After three months of pretending to be a whore to Germans, I'd say yeah, the whole thing was pretty easy," Ann plopped down in the second chair across from Sanders.

"Wait, three months," Illya asked astounded. Ann nodded her head still looking at Sanders waiting for him to explain why these people have been tailing her all day, and who the hell this man who was standing next to him was.

"Well, Millington, this is Agent Waverley, the leader of these three that you've met today. All of them are employed by the agency by the name of U.N.C.L.E. They want you to join," Sanders explained.

"Why would I trade in one exhausting agency that takes me away from home for months at a time for another? Huh," Ann asked looking between Waverley and Sanders.

"Because believe it or not, U.N.C.L.E. is willing to work with someone like you. You choose the missions you go on Miss Millington, of course when needed you'll be expected to be there. That way you can take care of-" Waverley cut himself off when Ann-Marie glared at him. Sanders didn't know she had full custody of he sisters kid and quite frankly she didn't want these strangers know either. "Anyway, what do you say, Miss Millington? Are you in," Waverley asked, leaning against the desk. Ann looked between the three agents and Waverley.

"Sure," she nodded, "count me in. What's it going to hurt," Ann added agreeing to be apart of the team.

"Excellent, that was the answer I was hoping for," Waverley smiled, handing her three files. She stood and shook his hand, "we'll have a mission for all of you tomorrow, as for tonight go home and get some sleep," Waverley dismissed us. As Ann walked out behind Solo, Sanders called after her.

"Someone will bring your stuff over tomorrow Millington," he said.

"Thank you sir," she nodded.

"Oh and Miss Millington," Waverley called.

"Yes sir?"

"You know they'll follow you right? It's in their nature," Waverley smirked. Ann nodded.

"As you seem to forget, I would do the same if I were in their position. They're bound to find out about Nicholas soon enough," Ann explained walking away from the two managers.

Ann took off her heels as soon as she entered her home, the files still in her arms. She knew Napoleon, Gaby, and Illya was sitting in her living room, she sighed.

"I knew you were a thief Solo," she flipped on her living room lights, "but breaking into my home. That's astounding."

"Well, you don't sound surprised," Solo smiled, sipping at a glass of wine.
