Morning soon came and Mercury was curled up and snoring softly. John had an arm limply around her although he was awake. John was worried to pieces about her from last night. He wondered what made her have the nightmare. John sighed and rolled her limp, sleeping body over. He brushed hair from her pale, skinny face and began to shake her softly. Her eyes soon slowly opened her eyes and John lightly grabbed her bony hand and kissed it. "Good morning, sunshine.", he said softly. Mercury yawned and sat up, rubbing her eyes and looking at John. "Well, we have a busy day today so we'd better get a move on.", John said, sitting up. Mercury got out o bed and got dressed int he bathroom. Sherlock was waiting impatiently for John and Mercury by the front door. He was staring at Mercury, soon making her uncomfortable. "You had a nightmare, yes?", he asked, his voice bland as he looked at the girl. Mercury whimpered and nodded. John walked out and looked at Mercury. Her body was shaking softly and she seemed even more pale. Her eyes seemed to sag underneath. John looked at her. Something wasn't right. "Are you alright, Mercury? You seem awfully pale this morning.", he said, concern in his voice. She nodded and yawned. "J-Just tired...", she said, her voice hoarse and nose stuffy. John knew she wasn;t okay. She probably had a cold from living in the cold.

John sighed and grabbed her hand, taking her to Sherlock, causing both Mercury and Sherlock's eyes to widen. "John. What are you doing? John. Stop.", he said as John slipped Mercury's pale hand into Sherlock's leather gloved hand. "Mercury is going to have to go with you since I have things to do.", he said, a smile playing on his lips. Sherlock shook his head. "Can;t she go with you?", Sherlock said, looking down at Mercury and John. Mercury was beyond confused. "You need to get to know her.", John said. Sherlock sighed and rolled his eyes. "Fine. Whatever. You're paying for whatever she eats or buys.", he said. John sighed and looked at her. "Yes, yes I will, but she probably won't eat much but fine. ", John said, hugging Mercury before telling her goodbye and leaving. Since Mercury was confused, she whimpered and held out her hand out for him. Sherlock just watched her as she did so. She whimpered and put her hand down, realzing that he wasn't coming back for her. Sherlock rolled his eyes and began to walk, somewhat dragging Mercury behind him. She yelped and caught up. Mercury had no idea as to where she was going with this man. "S-Sir, I'm t-thirsty..", she said softly a few minutes later. Sherlock nodded softly and glanced down at her. They soon slowed and he brought her to a tiny coffee shop. He bought her a cup of water and they sat at a table silently. Sherlock stared at her, finding out things about her. A few minutes later, they lef and Sherlock hailed a taxi. It was getting a tinsy bit dark now. The taxi picked up John also. They all sat in the back, a tired Mercury in the middle. John held her hand and looked at her. Mercury yawned softly and her eyes fluttered shut and her head soon plopped onto Sherlock's arm. Sherlock tensed and looked at her from the corner of his eye. She looked so cute when she was asleep, but Sherlock shook the thought away. John smirked and looked at Sherlock. "Not gonna push her off of you, eh?", he asked, looking at the two. Sherlock looked at her, then to John. "Poor thing must be exhausted since we found her homeless in an alley. ", he said, adjusting softly. John chuckled and waited for the taxi to stop at home.

When they arrived home, Sherlock shook her gently awake and she grabbed his hand again as he led her to the flat. Sherlock had to admit that he kinda liked her. She sat next to Sherlock on the couch, and John sat on the chair. She yawned and soon fell asleep on Sherlock again. John giggled at her. "Someone must like you~", he said. Sherlock looked down at her. "No, she's just tired and...had no where else to put her head, obviously.", he said. John soon had a smirk playing on his lips. "Put an arm around her.", he said, a plan building in his mind. Sherlock shook his head and rolled his eyes. "Of course not, no.", he said. "Do it, she'll warm up to you.", John begged. Sherlock slowly but eventually did so. Mercury soon cuddled up next to him. Sherlock tensed, for he was not used to this. John smiled. "I'm going to sleep now. Take care of her.", he stood and went to his room before Sherlock could speak. He sighed and relaxed, looking down at the sleeping girl. He soon picked her up as if she were a young child who had fallen asleep in a vehicle. He carried her to his room and gently plopped her on the bed. He got into pajamas and crawled in next to her. He thought for a moment before doing something he thought he'd never do. He wrapped his arms around her and kissed her head. "Goodnight, Mercury...", he said softly, turning off the light. "Goodnight, Sherlock..", a tiny voice came from beside him. His eyes widened and he blushed. She was awake the whole time!! He just pulled her tighter and soon they both fell asleep...
