We watched our mate sleeping peacefully when her emotions change and after writhing on the bed she sat up with a gasp. We hugged her to calm down. "babe it's all connected. " she said looking at us wide eyed. "what sweety? " Carlisle whispered. "the killings, that intruder, everything. Victoria. " she said causing us to freeze. "what do u mean? If it was Victoria, Alice would have told us and if she was hiding, I would have detected it babe. " I said. She shook her head. "not if she had taken a back seat and let someone else take the decisions. " we froze again. She had a point. "it's possible " Edward said from his room. Just as we were about to reply, a pained howl tire through th forest and we heard paws coming towards the house. Bella sprang up at the noise. "Paul " she whispered. She got up immediately putting on my shirt and her underwear and ran out with us on her heels. We ran out of the back door to see a grey wolf transforming into a naked Paul. Bella didn't seem to care about his nakedness as she hugged him. His emotions showed despair, pain and rejection. It was so strong that it bought me to my knees and I whimpered. Bella glanced at me in fright and then suddenly it was gone. I realised Bella was shielding me. I smiled at her. She was truly wonderful. She kissed Paul's forehead and rocked him back and forth. "Paul what's the matter? " she cooed at him like a mother would to her child.
"I,, I.. Imprinted. " there were gasps and cheers around. Bella smiled then frowned. "so why are u upset? "
"she saw me in the wolf form only and I imprinted. But then she was called in. And.. And.. She has a boyfriend with whom she had sex. " he whimpered. We gasped and I felt bad for the poor guy. Hell if seeing Edward just hold bella's hand was so difficult for me , how did he handle seeing her like that with someone else.
Edward was feeling shocked, and then he uttered something that shocked us entirely, "Angela is your mate? "
