Chapter 14:
Jason's POV
An hour, only an hour they said, then why did it feel like an eternity, watching her suffer like this was breaking my heart. 2 minutes only 2 minutes till I get to go in, only 2 they why did they feel like an eternity too. I couldn't believe that her father hadn't cared to come and visit Piper but then again my father never did either. Fame is like playing with fire, you thrive or you burn. I've grown up famous, when I was 2 years old I was voted New York's cutest baby and then USA's cutest baby, I guess everybody saw me as a charmer from a such a young age and I guess I've always been a charmer. Maybe that's the reason me and Piper didn't get along at first we were too much alike, we shared a too familiar pain but then that became our glue and what brought us together. Yeah it took me sometime but I figured out how to fix up a heart that I let down.
A nurse came and unlocked Pipers door she handed me a surgeon suit so when I got in there wasn't any risks of infection or virus transmission. Her heart monitor was beating steadily, her breaths were so even as her chest rose and fell, her eyes were shut she was sleeping, she looked beautiful. I felt my phone start buzz in my pocket I picked it up,"Hello?" I asked "Can you hear me?" I said hearing static from the other end. "Yes, hello to you too son." My blood started boiling hearing my fathers voice, "I have new for you" he said my anger enabled my speech. "You will be staying at Goode High, your sister said that she needs to keep you in check and it will not work if you are at a different location. And I have every reason to agree with her Jason. So you will not be switching school but you will be staying son" he said and hung up. I saw Thalia smiling at me through the window, I ran up to her and tackled her into the biggest hug ever.
