Once the shock of being kidnapped my mind started forming an escape plan. When I was home safely I needed to kiss Percy and thank for making me take special classes of self defense in case something like this happened. I was bound to chair gagged but not blind folded which gave me a slight advantage. My wrists were bound to the side, and no guards were around. I took a deep breath and threw myself and the chair backwards, the chair smashed into dozens of pieces from the force. I picked up a leg of the now broken chair and took it with me as a weapon. I spotted an exit door and crouched down to see if there were an feet outside the door but I couldn't see very clearly. Instead I put my ear on the door, my body shaking with fear with each breath I took, all I heard was silence. I slowly tip toed outside the door, each tiny creek was like thunder in my ears, I followed the hallway all the way down anticipating getting caught with every step I took. The hallway just kept going like an endless tunnel, then I heard voices and my heart skipped a beat I checked my surroundings nervously. I spotted a broom closet and rushed inside it every nerve on my body on edge. I heard footsteps go by and two men talking, my whole body shaking in fear. I waited in the broom closet for a few moments my heart beat slowing down but my body still on edge. Then I heard a loud crash and people running back my way, "SHE IS GONE!" someone yelled from a distance. The sound of metal clinking caused my ears to divert their attention. Somebody come had a gun, I froze from fear as I heard Luke's voice call out, "Annie Annie come out wherever you are". I knew that tone very well he was trying to draw me out with that childish tone making me think I was a child and wouldn't get punished. But that wrong and this time I got the feeling that the punishment would be a torturous death. I grabbed a mop from next to me and held it tight. The footsteps came closer so close I swear I could hear Luke's heavy breathing over my pounding heart. My forehead was beaded with sweat anxiety flowing through my veins like water in a stream, the fear of getting caught was so intense it was almost impossible to calm myself down. I was overwhelmed with fear and anxiety that I almost passed out, then I thought of my hero Percy. If I ever wanted to see him again I would have to survive, so I focused on his face and felt the fear and anxiety melt away like a ice cream on a hot summer day. Then Luke's voice boomed more loudly than ever, "I SHALL FIND YOU ANNABETH CHASE AND YOU WILL PAY FOR YOUR CRIMES!" I almost yelped the fear coming back, I pushed it away focusing on Percy's face. I needed to get out of here, I had to.
