Samantha

I was in just a towel and freshly showered when none other than little miss Cassidy Hood barged into my room without knocking and raided my closet.

She was dressed fashionably in a short, high-waisted skirt with a knitted sleeveless turtleneck. She grabbed a light  pink v-neck dress off of the hanger and some black boots.

She shoved them into my arms and muttered, "put these on and wait right here," before scurrying out of the room.

I shrugged and slipped the dress and boots on before Cass came back in with a black sweater.

She squealed and looked me up and down, "you're so adorable! Everyone at school's gonna think you're the cutest thing! Gosh I wish I was as pretty as you, I can't wait to show you off to all my friends! Hey do you have any makeup?"

Cassidy's compliments left me blushing, "No I never really learned how to-"

"Say no more!" She pulled me out of my room and the apartment into her family's apartment and then to what I assumed was her room, "sit down," she gestured to a vanity and I took a seat.

The first thing I notice when I entered her room was an absolutely stunning mural of the galaxy gracing her dark blue walls. It was like an explosion of color.

"Wow," I said looking up at the planets and stars scattering her walls, "did you do this? It's really impressive."

"Yep!" she said with a grin, "now give me your face."

I looked at myself in the floor length mirror and beamed. I actually felt pretty.

"Wow Cass you're talented."

Cassidy waved her hand, "it was nothing. Besides it wouldn't look half as good if you weren't so gorgeous to begin with," I blushed through the makeup and smiled at her. "Now come on! Let's go eat!"

I went back to my room and grabbed my backpack and then made my way to the kitchen where Cassidy and everyone else were eating breakfast. When I walked in grandma immediately gushed over how 'cute' I looked and stacked some pancakes onto a plate for me. Xavier, Cole and Alexander were also seated at the island.

Xavier turned to me and smiled, "you look fantastic!"

I smiled and thanked him and took a seat next to him and Cass. When I looked back at Alexander he looked upset for some reason.

Over breakfast Cassidy ranted to me all about the teachers.

"Oh and if you have Mr. Gulligan..." she put her hand atop mine in a comforting manner, "well... that's your and the Lord's business."

Xavier scoffed, "Mr. Gulligan is not a bad teacher."

Cassidy scoffed right back, "Mr. Gulligan is the most boring man I have ever had the displeasure of sitting in a classroom for 45 minutes with."

I giggled quietly and Xavier rolled his eyes at Cassidy, "whatever," he said, "let's just go." He picked up his keys and put his plate in the sink.

I kissed grandma goodbye and followed the group down to the front door and outside. From there we walked to a black jeep parked in front of the house.

Cole ran to the passenger's side and yelled "Shotgun!" and Xavier sat in the driver's seat.

That just left Alexander, Cass and I to sit in the back seat. Cass got in first and I sat in the middle, which meant Alexander sat right next to me. He sat down and our eyes met.
