If I wasn't so fucking scared I might notice how his eyes weren't at all menacing but rather a pretty blue that reminded me of the ocean. And maybe I'd appreciate the way they twinkled when the lights hit them just right. Or I might notice how his intimidating muscles and what they were capable of and focus on how they actually seemed to be inviting me in to his embrace.
But that wasn't the case; I was scared of him and nothing was going to change that.
