"Lilith? What's Lilith?" I demanded.
"It's not what's Lilith. It's who she is," Harry explained.
"The queen of all evil," James breathed.
My head spun. "So.. so the woman in my phone.."
Harry nodded. "That's her."
With those two words, I felt my heart crash into my stomach. I'd been on this earth long enough, seen enough shows, read enough stories to know what demons were capable of doing.
I nearly collapsed in sheer terror, not caring that we were in front of the school, students swarming like bees around us.
"Harry, if she was in my dream, does that mean.."
"She's here."
My throat felt like it was closing. I couldn't breathe.
"I-I need to go home," I whispered. "Take me home, please."
"We'll take you," James insisted, as they flanked me, hurrying to James' car.
"Thank you."
As I climbed into the backseat, my phone began to ring.
Harry and James swiveled from the front watch me warily as I answered it. It was a blocked number.
"Hello?" I shakily pressed the phone to my ear, then yanked it away, clutching my ear in pain. I cried out, gaping at the bloody red screen. The phone was scorching hot.
"James," I choked out, dropping the phone to the floor. It lay face-up, and the red began to warp.
I shrunk away from it, curling into a ball on the seat. I whimpered as the phone began to thrash uncontrollably, just as before.
Then Lilith's brooding face and white eyes once again appeared on the screen, her lips curled back in a blood-curdling grin.
"Elena!" Harry roared at seeing this. He reached for me, and I desperately met his hand with my own shaking fingers.
Once again, flashing lights and a squeezing sensation enveloped me as Harry and James teleported me away from the devilish woman.

"Elena. Open your eyes."
I did as the low voice told me, struggling to unclamp my eyelids from each other.
I was in the boy's flat, standing in the foyer. I released my death grip on Harry's had, giving him a sheepish and grateful smile.
"Why'd you bring me here?" I asked James, who was sitting in front of his laptop, clicking furiously at the keys.
He didn't answer. Instead, he turned the screen to face me, wordlessly sliding it across the counter. His face as grave.
I began to read aloud.
"Lilith.." I stopped, staring at him with a confused expression.
"Keep reading," James commanded.
"Lilith, also known as Lillake, Balaat, or White-Eyed Demon, was said to be the first creation of Lucifer, a fallen archangel.
Lucifer took her soul as an act against God. She takes shape of a beautiful woman, and seduces human men to produce devilish half-human, half-demon offspring. These beings are called Children of the Night, or Children of the Devil.
The daughters, or she-demons, also take advantage of men. They go by many names, including the lilim, Lamiae, Empusae, or Daughters of the Night.
The lilim, along with the Sons of the Night, are the demons that cause mayhem in the world, possessing the innocent and distorting religion."
