Mostly when the Christmas and New years festivities are over people go into depressed and bored mode. January and February are pretty boring months apart from the odd birthday here and there.
But this is the Jolie-Pitt family where every month is a busy one. This time it is Maddox's turn to take the spotlight. Tomorrow morning we will be in Cambodia - his home country - where he will direct a series for Netflix, with the help of Angelina of course.
I have never been to Cambodia but apparently Angelina has worked with the people we will be staying with and they speak good English.
Unfortunately Jason could not make the trip making me have to leave him standing at the airport. I won't be able to see him for two months and after just an hour of being on the plane I am missing him. Just knowing that he isn't a few minutes away from me is too much to handle.

Day one of being here and I am already baking hot, bored and having to find away to keep 5 kids occupied. I would try and catch some sun but the kids make that harder than I thought. How do they have the energy to run around after each other in this heat?!
Suddenly an idea springs into my head. Why not take them to the beach? I heard it is only a 10 minute walk from where we are staying; that way the sea can cool us all down and hopefully stop the young ones from annoying me too much.
I call all the kids to get there shoes on and to bring swimming costumes with them.
"Where are we going?" Asks Shiloh.
"To the beach!" I almost shout and with that Vivienne and knox jump up and down with excitement.
Walking down the dust roads in flip flops was a bad idea as now my feet are covered in dirt but the atmosphere is amazing. The people here as so chilled out and there is never silence yet never noisy. The quiet sounds of birds, people greeting one another and the occasional sounds of a car passing by. Once we get to the curved shore of the beach the sounds of the waves gently slowing down as it hits the sand comes into play.
As soon as the kids spot the light blue sea they go running towards it. The sight of them running into the glistening water makes me feel so relaxed and happy. Seeing Vivienne and Knox running away from the waves makes me let out a little giggle and before I know it I am joining in.
The sea is so cool; just what I needed in this heat. Me and the kids play a range of games from trying to jump over the waves to water tag. They are crazy, loud and sometimes annoying but they are also the most loving and caring. After all they are my younger siblings and I love them.
"Tag you're it!" Pax shouts over the sound of the waves at Zahara who makes a sharp turn and starts to run at me. I make a break for it towards the other end on the beach. I'm faster than her and she knows it so she changes her target.
When I turn back around I go face first into what feels like someone's back.
"Oh I'm so clumsy, sorry!" I turn around to face a tall stranger with the brightest of green eyes that are enough to melt anyones heart.
