Alex stuck out his arm, and I looked up at him in surprise. He nodded and smiled warmly, my nerves were starting to get the best of me so I took it and let him lead the way.

That kid's bipolar, I swear.

As we walked into the house, the house had floors of marble, large white columns, and a large chandelier in the middle of the ceiling. There were servants everywhere, cleaning, cooking, making a fuss, and when they saw me and Alex, their eyes widened and quickly stopped everything they were doing and gave us a deep, reverent bow.

I looked up at Alex as I saw him give them a slight nod, as they took that as a sign of dismissal and quickly returned to their work. He saw me looking up at him and gave me a look as to say don't worry about it.

We reached a large corridor with many large doors, and at the end of the corridor was the most beautiful door I've ever seen.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not some weird kid that admires doors, but this door...it was exceptional. Truly fit for a queen. It was the most delicate shade of golden brown, with the edges carved with swirls and flowers. In the center was the largest crystal sculpture of a flower, the edges of the petals encrusted with different gems: sapphires, rubies, emeralds, amethysts, pearls, opals, and too many more to count. And the gems were placed so that it wasn't just different colors, but so that the colors could compliment each other, and each of them sparkled like they had their own fire inside of them. I was in awe.

I felt Alex shift his head to look at me as we walked towards the door, "I know how you feel. I reacted the same way you did when I first saw that door." He shook his head with amusement, "I walked into a statue, and apparently that wasn't the first time someone walked into a statue there and broke it, so they just got rid of all the statues in this corridor in general."

I laughed quietly to myself, imagining a (for some reason) younger Alex, with his big gray eyes, so naive and walking headfirst into a statue. My heart did a little flip, and I chastised myself. I could not fall for him.

We reached the door and it took everything I had not to reach out and gently stroke the large crystal. I looked up at Alex, "We going in or what?" I said, a little impatient a little nervous.

"Well...we have to be invited in first, can't just go barging in on the Queen." Alex smiled, his perfectly aligned teeth and his lips....I shook my head and my face turned red as I thought of us having a hot makeout session.

In my dreams...I mean...in HIS dreams.

I sighed, tapping my fingers on Alex's arms without realizing that our arms were still linked. Now that I thought about it, our bodies were really close, I could feel the warmth coming off from his body, and every time I took a breath I could smell his fresh, minty scent. I wonder what I smell like to him.

The doors started creaking open, making me jump about 10 feet in the air. This was so surreal. We took 10 steps into the room, on the small carpet before the Queen's throne and I did a deep curtsy, unsure of what else to do.

After I was done curtsying, I was, once more, blown away. She had the deepest brown hair, with red tints in it, that was wavy in a celebrity kind of way, and it reached her waist. On her forehead was a circlet, and instead of the standard single gem, it was an exact replica of the crystal flower, except much smaller. She had large eyes, with the longest eyelashes I've ever seen, and were a beautiful shade of light brown with gold flecks in them. Her skin was a pale, yet tan complexion, with absolutely no flaws whatsoever. Her body was slender, yet muscular, and again. With the flawless skin. She had long pointy ears, that stuck out through her hair, yet they, too, were slender and graceful. She had her cartilage pierced, a diamond stud stuck out on her right ear, and I could only assume that she was wearing the crystal flower earrings. She was wearing a long silver dress that molded against her body, and near her knees flowed out like a mermaid, and instead of looking bad like it does on most celebrities, she gave it a new look.
