Amaris' POV

I ate a loaded plate while the girl watched. She had brought me to eat at an empty table that she informed me was table eight, the Artemis table. My nervous energy seemed to majorly decrease at this statement without my knowing why.

I sighed as I finished. Many people were also finishing, and they headed toward a place where there was a large fire waiting to be lit. I got up and was about to follow, as I had seen Uri going that way. The girl had other plans for me. She took hold of my wrist and half dragged, half led me back to the cabin that was doused in moonlight.

"Lady Artemis will most likely want to meet you. You are an interesting girl." She says casually. I nod and try to pull out of her grasp, but she had an iron grip. She looked at me with interest and let go.

I rubbed my wrist a little as if to make sure she was no longer holding it. I shivered out of slight fear as everything was changing so fast. Only a few hours ago I was some random girl on the streets with no idea why these strange beasts came after me. Now, I'm at a strange camp, and I find I am a supposed daughter of a Greek god.

We walked into the cabin, where girls dressed in silver and had similar silver auras as to the other girl with me. I noticed that none of the the other girls had a circlet in their hair.

"Lieutenant! Where were you? And who is that?" One girl asks.

"I was at the dining pavilion. I couldn't ask the possible new recruit to come here half starved. Where is Lady Artemis?" The girl I had come with replied.

"We thought you were with her. Why does this new recruit bear such resemblance to Artemis? Besides the silver hair, she looks almost identical." The other girl replies.

"I don't know. I noticed as well, and I have an idea, but it's impossible." The Lieutenant replies. I stand quietly off to the side, slowly inching towards the door.

"What would this impossible idea be? I'm sure it could be taken into consideration." The other girl says slowly, uncertain.

"I'd rather not share my idea. It's rather disturbing, with it being Artemis and all." The Lieutenant turns to me. "My name is Thalia. Wait here and get to meet the hunters. There is a chance you will become one of us." She walks out the door.

As soon as she leaves the questions start.

"What's your name?"

"Where did you come from?"

"How long have you been here?"

"Who's your parent, or are you a different species than demigod?"

I back up against the wall as they get closer to me in excitement. I felt like I was a lone animal being fenced in by a pack of wolves. I shuddered. I probably shouldn't think like that.

In one quick movement, I twist to the side and grab the door. I throw it open and faster than I ever remembered. I ran directly to the place where I remembered there was a campfire, and when I got there, I quickly found a crowded area. I started to move in between people and blend in with the crowd.

I saw the girls streaming in and saw how they organized. They were forming a strategy to find and catch me. I slipped out of the crowd as Chiron distracted them by welcoming them and asking what they were doing. I ran into an odd dome looking building (A/N please correct me if I'm wrong but is that how the sword arena was described? I'll go and check later if I remember to, but I would like your input.) and I hid behind what seemed like a dummy made out of straw. I waited for a long time, watching the entrance, but not a single one came.
