Captain America (Steve Rogers) POV

Well that girl was nice. She was a little awkward like she didn't know what was going on, but she was still young, like 17 or something, so I'm not too surprised.

What I was surprised about was when SHIELD brought in a man that didn't look too well. He was trembling from head to toe and I'm not surprised because SHEILD has all their guns pointed at him.

"He said he has a message for 'the Avengers'." Some SHEILD agent said to us. All of us Avengers were in the room except for Tony. I look the man up and down. He looks vaguely familiar as if I may have seen his picture before in a file.

"Who is he?" I asked. Before the agent could answer, Tony walked in playing with some hologram invention.

"His name is Daniel Bähr." Tony stated as if he expected the man's arrival. Then again, Jarvis probably told him SHEILD was bringing someone in. Pictures and files of the man showed up on the big screen to my right and all of us looked at it. He works for someone called Scorpion. Hmm, not the best villain name in my opinion. I like Ultron's name better.

This man, Daniel, appears to be one of his evil lackeys. He looks german, Bahr is a german name isn't it?

"He's probably just trying to save his own skin." Tony acted uninterested. That was unlike Tony, but then again, it makes sense and Tony was probably in the middle of doing some big invention that won't work. Then again, he made Jarvis and the Iron man suit, so who knows?

I, however, was interested. "Go ahead and speak." I offered. He blurted out so much stuff at once I started to be convinced he wasn't just making this up. Besides, if he was, then why would he be at our tower anyways.

Tony comes back, seeming interested, as soon as the man mentions an assassin.

"Wait, slow down," I interrupt him, "What?"

"Scorpion has a few assassins and I heard him say that he was sending one on an assignment; to kill one of the Avengers!"

"Who?" Black Widow commanded. I'm not sure if she was asking who he was sending or who the target was.

"I... I d-don't know," The man stuttered, "that's all I heard without being caught."

"Can you give us names?" Thor asks. Daniel shakes his head.

"So all we know is that apparently some assassin who you don't know who he is, is coming to kill one of us but you don't know which one?" Tony sounded uninterested again, or maybe he's just taunting Daniel, but he's right, that isn't a lot of information.

"He's probably faking." Thor voiced our thoughts out loud.

"Maybe not sir," one of the SHIELD agents volunteered a bit of information; "he came right to us, didn't give a fight or anything.

Hmm, that's strange. The doubt inside my mind decreased. Maybe he was a distraction of sorts and something was going on, but after Tony's security system was set up a while ago, it was unlikely that anyone would be attacking the tower.

Hawkeye stayed thoughtfully silent and Tony doesn't seem to believe this Daniel guy. I'm not sure quite what I think.

"Well." Thor breaks the silence but only says that one word and the room goes back to being silent again. Finally the SHEILD agents get the hint and leave, dragging Daniel in tow.

"So, what're we going to do about this?" I ask.

"He was just lying, shake it off wuss." Tony snorts, leaving the room to go work on whatever.

"I don't think he was." Black Widow replies. She probably knows best, being a former assassin herself.

I nod and realize how tired I am. "Well," I say, "I guess I'll turn in." With that I leave and go home. Still, the man's words echo in my head. What if there is an assassin? Who is it? And who on earth is he planning to kill?
