"Wait!"

Caleb Seraphim starred into the hospital window, something he did on an occasion when he got bored on late nights. He sat on the big oak tree branch and watched the humans go about life. He envied them, wanting nothing more than to finish out his life as well but he couldn't. He accepted that fact centuries ago.

Caleb glanced away as the woman inside the room of the hospital began to  push. Her husband held her hand tightly as the doctor began to help.

Birth..

He peaked up a little and moved to then end of the large branch hopping over to the building and looking lowly into the window.

Sure he had seen his fair share of things in his life time but a birth wasn't one of them. After two minutes of the woman screaming, a high pitch muffled cry began to ring in his ears. He couldn't see the child at first, the doctors had blocked the view. When after a few more minutes of waiting he watched as the doctors handed the child back to the mother.

Wrapped in a bright pink blanket. The couple smiled happily and began to cry with joy. "It's a girl!" They exclaimed.
"Congratulations Mr and Mrs Oskar." The doctor smiled.

"What shall we name her?" The woman looks up at her husband. "Leila.." He kisses his wife softly.

Caleb lets go of the building and lands with a thump on the ground.

Leila..

He thought for a second, smiling to himself for what reason he didn't seem to know, then shaking his head he ran off.
