Calum woke up to the alarm he set for noon unlike madison who was sound asleep even after his warmth had left her side to go downstairs. he hadn't planned on staying at her home for so long, but he was glad he calmed her down enough.

he decided to grab his car keys and drove down to the local pizzeria. he knew she loved pizza as much as michael does. he thought waking her up to her favorite food in bed would make up for him having to leave relatively early for rehearsals.

"hey maddie, wakey wakes," he cooed, shaking her lightly with his left hand since his right was busy holding the pizza.

"cal? what're you doing here?"

"i came over last night, do you remember?"

she shook her head no, "sorry. i have a bad memory, it's been that way for awhile."

he smiled at her and invited himself to sit next to her, "that's okay, i brought pizza for you. i have to leave pretty soon, so i thought we could eat breakfast together."

she nodded and grabbed a slice from the box, "thank you. i hate being alone, i've been living alone for so long that i forgot what it felt like to have company," she explained sadly.

"what does it feel like?"

"i'm glad you haven't left me yet, let's just leave it at that."

after eating the entire pizza like the people they are, she got dressed while he played on her wii in her room. she was able to take a shower and shave her legs while he was occupied.

"curled in tight curls, loose curls, natural or straightened?" she asked the boy sitting on her bed.

"depends, what are you wearing?"

she blushed a bright pink and coughed awkwardly before laying out the outfit she was wearing for the concert; a muscle tank top that said 'who wants winter when you can have 5 seconds of summer?', along with a pair of distressed jean shorts, her new pair of white medium top converse, along with a wide selection of bandanas.

calum laughed, "okay well, what if you put your hair up in uh one of those messy buns that you girls do, then have like little pieces of your hair pulled out of the bun and uh yeah. do you know what i'm talking about?"

"yes cal, thank you though."

she dried her hair with the blow dryer and took thirty minutes out of her time to try to perfect that cute 'messy' bun look. what boys didn't know is that it takes longer than just throwing your hair up in a bun and calling it a day.

"you're coming to sound check with me," calum informed her abruptly.

"uh no i'm not," she chuckled, thinking he was absolutely crazy.

"yeah you are, it's okay. fans sneak in all the time to watch us dance around on stage and sing, security never catches them."

"michael and i aren't talking at the moment, i don't think it's best that i go," she trailed off, biting her lip from pure nerves.

"what happened between you two?"

she shrugged, "i don't even know, maybe i'm just overreacting? i guess, it's just...nothing. yeah, it's nothing, okay fine i'll go."

he grinned widely at her and dragged her into his rental car, "you better be taking me home after your show, hood," she reminded in which he waved his hand at her as if to say 'eh, we'll figure something out'.
