Hi guys! Believe it or not, I am not dead, nor have I abandoned this story!! So many apologies for the huge delay in updating (I cant believe it has been more than a year!!)...it has definitely been a hectic year. In this past year, I graduated, moved, turned 18, got a car, got a concussion, applied for college, was in my first car accident, but most importantly I GRADUATED high school!! :) I even got honors for my grades!! And now I have completed my first year of college and selected a major of study (Elementary Education with an emphasis in Special Education)...Sorry, enough about me...Anyway, I need to say THANK YOU to all my old and new readers who have pushed me to keep writing this story. You all have no idea how much it makes my day when I see positive feedback from my story...Anyway, I will try and make some consistent updates from now on....On with the story!! As always, comments are appreciated!!! :D

Aleah always knew her brother was crazy. It was one of the things she never failed to admit about him. But she never imagined the two of them walking across the desert with a weird old man and going looking for a magic cave with buried treasure in it. Especially a treasure that a creepy old man was going to "share" with him. She didn't like the plan one bit, and she let her brother know by sending him an angry glare, which was returned it with a reassuring smile. Aleah glanced at the old man suspiciously; she didn't trust him at all, something about him just seemed...off. Especially when he gave her this creepy grin showing his missing teeth.
After walking for quite a distance, they reached a cave shaped like a giant Jaguar. Aleah couldn't believe her eyes as it began moving- no speaking to them! In a vicious voice it asked, "Who disturbs my slumber?" Aleah, too shocked for words watched as he brother stumbled out these words, "I-it is Aladdin...and Aleah". The cave seemed to growl for a moment and Aleah backed into her brother, convinced the cave creature was going to kill them. But instead said, "Proceed. Take nothing but the lamp". The old man ushered Aladdin, Aleah, and Abu into the cave and they began climbing down the large steps.

Once they were far from the entrance of the cave, Aleah realized this was the first time that she and Aladdin could talk without being in earshot of the old man. Aleah then punched her brother on the arm and asked, "Aladdin, what were you thinking trusting this guy? Do you honestly think this is a good idea?". Aladdin pondered the question for a minute while rubbing his arm, then turned around to face his sister. "Well, not exactly. But this can change everything!" He then placed his hands on his sister's shoulders, "'Leah, with this treasure I can finally be with the girl I love. And not only that, we won't be poor anymore! You and I can have the life we always dreamed about. We can live in a palace and never have to worry about having enough food or being harassed by the guards again! We can live our lives the way we deserve to. You would be a princess of Agrabah and would have a wonderful life. Don't you want that?" Aleah sighed, of course it sounded wonderful. The thought of leaving the streets for good lifted her spirits for not only her sake but her brothers. She responded, "Of course I do. It sounds wonderful and I hope you can be with this girl and be happy. I just want to make sure we aren't making a mistake by trusting this guy". Her brother replied, "I know. But soon we won't have to worry about him. We will split the treasure, go our separate ways, and never have to see him again".

They continued walking and we're led into a large chamber with an unbelievable sight in front of them. There was more treasure than could be collected in a lifetime. For half a second, Aleah was tempted to just grab as much treasure as they could carry and she and Aladdin could be set for life. But she knew that she shouldn't press her luck. Abu had the same idea and immediately ran towards the treasure, before he was stopped by Aladdin and Aleah warning him to not touch anything. Aleah grabbed him by the tail while Aladdin scolded him, "Don't touch anything! We have to find the lamp". Abu looked annoyed and continued skulking ahead. Aleah couldn't help but smile at their monkey friend-he certainly kept things interesting. Aleah held her arm out to Abu, and he climbed onto her shoulder. But during their walk, Abu suddenly started acted jittery and looking over his shoulder. Aleah looked, but saw nothing out of the ordinary. Just a bunch of treasure and a brightly colored rug. Suddenly, Abu started shrieking to the both of them and pointing behind them. The twins knew that he was probably just excited about the treasure and ignored him. Then out of nowhere, he tackled Aladdin and Aleah jumped to his aid. Finally they both turned and saw what Abu had been panicking about. There in the corner was a carpet, that was not only moving, but flying, and it seemed to be staring right at the two of them. Aleah thought to herself, This day is getting weirder by the minute.
