I'll Always Protect You

Shirayuki' eyes widened as the man shot the arrow towards her. She watched in fear as the beautiful arrow approached in slow motion.

"Beautiful things cause beautiful pain."

The words echoed in her head and Shirayuki clutched the book tightly to her chest. However Obi ducked protectively over her, causing the arrow to ricochet off his back causing a line of frabic to open up, exposing a scratch.

"Obi?" Shirayuki said in awe, he practically risked his life didn't he?

"I'll always protect you young mistress." He smiled softly.

"But you're back-"

"It's just a scratch." He shrugged with another small grin. "Besides didn't I promise I'll protect you no matter what?" Shirayuki smiled softly and nodded.

"Thank you."
