I froze. I didn't expect him to live this close!
"Yes, I finally got out of the-"
I turned around. He froze as well. I didn't expect him to live in this!! This house was huge, and when he told me he owned butlers and was loaded, I didn't think he would live in this neighbourhood!
"Gray, this is Redena. Hansel brought her puppy in when her Grandmother...never mind that. Stop gawking at her! It's weird."
Gray and I couldn't stop staring at each other.
"Gretal, she's the girl I was telling you about. Remember?"
Gray was pulling the 'the girl that I kissed but I forgot to tell you her name' look. I turned back to Gretal and she was surprised.
"Oh my goodness! You! I am so sorry for saying anything embarrassing."
"No, no, its all good Gretal, I honestly did not know you lived here Wolf."
You could tell I was pissed. I mean, after three weeks of hanging out and him dropping me home, he couldn't have the decency to tell me that he lived three houses down!
"Goodness Gray, at least have the respect of telling her since she means-"
Gray literally leaped at her and covered her mouth. This whole thing being him living three houses down creeped me out. I had to go.
"Well as much as I would like to stay more," more like leave immediately, "I have to go."
"Red, no please stay! I would love to know more and more about you!"
I was going to protest in a nice manner before Gray interrupted.
"Yeah, please stay Red. I want to talk to you anyway."
I wanted to leave. Just the fact that Gray lived her was just a major poop. The unexpectancy and coincidence that he was the one living here as well as the fact that he's the master of the house made me more uncomfortable.
"Wolf, I really-"
"Red. Please?"
Gretal was disturbed by one of the butlers and left the room. I was just standing there, three people away from Gray just death staring him. I was just surprised in a negative manner. I mean, I thought he was joking about the whole inheritance thing and about him being rich. I'm a simple girl with no needs. I'm not part of this world.
"Red, what's wrong? Why aren't you saying anything? Please say something."
"I just-" I sighed. I didn't know what to think. "I thought you were joking about the inheritance thing, and seeing that its actually real? I'm not worth this amount. I'm a poor girl and you're a rich guy."
I'm really into the hopeless romantic type of things and I truly have the belief about money. Money affects everything and theres a reason for it but thats why I don't think I'm not worth Gray's time.
"Red, you aren't having second thoughts about me are you? I told you that I'm not a snobby rich kid. I'm still the same jerky Gray Wolf that you know."
"You aren't, Wolf."
"Why are you calling me Wolf all the sudden. Didn't anything that happened this morning mean anything to you?"
I looked down. I didn't want to remember this morning. The more I think that he really is a rich kid that has been brought up a completely different lifestyle compared to me, I just believe more and more that he's buying my love. The present and everything.
