*Jayce's POV*
"Okay guys, water break is over! Hustle, hustle, hustle!" yelled my coach. I was tired and ready to give up. Football practice is killing me.
I could hear the band play 'Paranormal', pretty good sound I hear. I hope my band director isn't upset that I didn't attend band practice. I will most definitely not have a marching spot this year. Hopefully Mr.Martines, my band director, understands.
"God dammit" I whisper. I had my mind so busy. I didn't see Daniel coming my way. I can't believe I got tackled by the shortest guy in the team. I need to get my head in the game!
*Janessa's POV*
"No, you don't belong here. This is my spot!" I said. This freshman came and stood in my spot. Come on guys, it's not something out of this world. Dorks.
I was having such a bad day. It was summer and the wind was not even helping this heat. I really need a water break. "Jass, congratulations on that run through. You did just great. You must be proud of yourself" says Zavy. I was one of the best marchers in the band. I take marching band so serious, I am not even kidding. I just wished my parents could be able to see how good of a marcher I am.
My parents were usually busy, and by that I mean ignoring me. I wasn't as important as the rest of my sibling's. My parents gave them all the attention. I was just needed for favors. Thankfully I won't be around as much because school is starting next week.
"Okay guys, great run through! Don't forget to hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! Remember to always keep your mind on what you want. Dream it! Never give up. We will be the best band out there in the field next week. Let's make those Longhorns go mad!" Says my band director. He's honestly one of the most amazing people I have ever met. He makes me want to never stop playing my instrument, which is a baritone. Not that anybody cares.
At this point we were heading home. People were taking their busses to head home. The football players were there as well. The band kids and the football players would take the same bus, since we all would get out of practice at the same time. Thankfully I didn't have to deal with their smelly odor.
