-Janessa's POV-

As we made our way to Jay's truck, I felt this frightening shiver. I put on my seat belt, slowly, debating whether to call my chauffeur to pick me up or just let Jay take me home. Jay observed my movements before asking if I was 'alright.'

"Janessa, don't worry. I am an excellent driver." He slowly grabbed my hand and locked our fingers together.

"I don't doubt that.. I just have a strange feeling."

"Look, it's fine if you don't want to come with me. Your safety comes first.."

Was this really the way you want to end your date Janessa? Seriously? Don't be a mood killer.

"Take me home. I am just being paranoid.." I gave him a sweet smile and pressured my lips against his.

-Jayce's POV-

A cold breeze woke me up and I managed to somehow pick my head up. My ribs were in aching pain.

As I looked around I was no longer in the driver's seat. I was on the side of the road. The cement was cold as it was October night. I reached out to feel Janessa's arm, but she was no longer there.

"Janessaa! JANESSAAAA" I screamed at the top of my lungs.

"JANESSA! JANESSA! PLEASE ANSWER!" I felt my vocal cords burn.

"Jay..cee" I heard a weak voice call my name.

"Janessa, darling, where are you?" I scanned the whole place but it was pitch black. I had to find her. I found the courage to beat the aching pain and stood up. Blood covered my whole white shirt. My black jeans were ripped and my shoes were missing. I first went to my car. There was nothing left in there. Everything disappeared. Flames were forming throughout the car and I had to look for Janessa before the explosion killed us both.

"Janessa, talk to me! PLEASE! Where are you? I need you to be strong and yell as loud as you can." I continued to look as I turned my flashlight on from my phone.

"Jayyyy...ce. where are youuuu?"

I heard her faintly close. I pointed my flashlight into different directions until I saw a hand waving in the air.

That was my Janessa.

I ran to her with all my might. My knees were hurting and giving up on me, but I couldn't lose her.

"Jaycee, you found me." giving me a weak smile.

"Yes baby girl, here I am. Now listen to me! Stay awake for me, talk to me, sing to me. Do whatever you have to do to stay awake! I need you here."

"In the mor-nning when I wakee
And the sun isss coming througgh,
Oh, you fill my lungsss with sweettness,
And you filll-my head with yooou.." I listened to her sing while I dialed for help.

"911, what's your emergency?" I heard the operator on the other line.

"Ye-yess.. my girlfriend and I got into this car accident. She is very hurt! I don't think she can keep her eyes opened for much longer. We are in this road, close by highway 99.. please come. I don't want her to die."

"Okay sir, stay on the line with me while I get some help on the way."

"Alright, please hurry!!!"

"Janessa, stay awake baby. You will be just fine.."I touched her soft porcelain cheeks. Her skin was getting colder by the second.

"Hey doll, tell me how you are feeling?!"

"I want to sleep... I can't keep my eyes opened for much longerrrr....."

Her eyes closed and I couldn't feel a heart beat anymore.

"NO NO NO NO NO NO! WAKE UP! BABY GIRL WAKE UP! No babyy, no!" I yelled and continued to shake her but she wouldn't react to my touch anymore. I sobbed as my tears were falling onto her skin. I hugged her and kept her in my arms. I tried to keep her warm but it was no longer needed.

She was gone.

As I looked into the sky and prayed for God to save my girl an explosion echoed throughout the whole city. I covered her as metal and glass flew in the air heading at different directions.

I heard an ambulance coming throughout the woods. I waited patiently hopping they could still save her.

As I heard the ambulance approach, I stood up. I carried her in my weak arms and struggled to keep myself together. She was a light girl. I had already reached the medics when my legs suddenly gave up and I fell to the floor carrying Janessa. Thankfully the medic caught her in mid air.

"Keep her safe... Do everything in your power to save herr.."

"Sir, sir! Stay awake.."
