*Jayce's POV*

As I walked to my locker I saw Janessa standing right next to it. She was smiling with her pearly white teeth and adorable jean skater dress with some converse. She looked so beautiful, as always.

"Hey Jass, how are you?" leaning in for a hug.

"I am great with some great news to tell you! Guess who is going to the party this Saturday? That's right, this cutie!" she said, pointing at herself, hugging me back.

Suddenly a big smile brighten my face, my cheeks turning a slight pink color.

"Great, I will pick you up at 7 tomorrow night. I will text you for more details and your address."

"Sounds perfect, I will wait for your message then. Goodbye Jay."

I hugged her one last time and the scent of her skin was addicting. She was so soft and fragile.

*Janessa's POV*

As I parted from Jayce's long hug. I walked to my locker. Suddenly I felt a cold rush of air running throughout my whole body. I could feel the negative energy surrounding me, making me feel uncertain if I should turn around or not.

"Hi, Janessa, have you thought about me?"

"What is it Myrtle? Did you not enjoy leaving me bruised up?"

"Indeed I did, but that's not enough! When will you leave Jayce alone? He just feels bad for you.."

"If he did, don't you think he would not have invited me to a party? Or did he not tell you?" making a pouty face.

"You will not enjoy that moment for long.."

She rushed her way out of the band hall, so Jayce would not notice. I have a feeling that this fight will not end well..

---------- Later that day...

I walked my tiny little legs all around the mall. I could not find the perfect pair of heels for the party. I need to look my best, I need to leave Jay speechless.

As I walked through the mall I spotted a Sephora store. I was a kid at heart for makeup since I was a little sperm.

As I walked to the foundation section I saw my friend Ellie. She was just a couple of years older than me and she was always busy with college. We did not keep in touch long after she graduated. We grew apart but I always trusted her, especially her fashion sense. I went up to her and said hello. It felt so nice to talk again, especially after the last time we talked. A lot has happened since then and we both needed to update each other.

Her shift was almost over so I waited for her. We then walked around the mall and went on a hunt for those perfect heels. It took 2 hours but we then found the perfect white pearly wedges. On the way through our hunting spree she met a lot of cute single men. She got asked at least 5 times throughout our spree.

As we shopped I tried on several dresses.

"Oh la la.. You look smoking hot. He will certainly fall head over heels for you!"

"I would not put it that way, but I hope so. But there is a topic in mind I would like to talk about. No one knows about this but there is a girl threating me. I am frightened."

"Jass, seriously? What didn't you come sooner? I told you to always come to me. Did I not?"

"Yes I know... but we have not kept in touch since you know..."

".... yes I know. That is no reason though. We have been best friends since your freshman year. Spill the details."

I told her everything and went on and on about her crazy obsession with Jayce, as we walked to the closest Starbucks.

"Wait, what is her name?"

"Myrtle.. Myrtle McMacdonald. Wait your last name is McMacdonald.."

"That indeed is my step sister.."

My eyes widened as I choked on my iced tea. No.. not my best friend's step sister...
