I got my tonsils and adenoids taken out last Tuesday. The surgeon said I had the biggest adenoids he had ever seen. Now they are in a museum. My mom told me that they might burn my tonsils. I added "and dance on the ashes".

Before surgery, they had to stick in an IV. They put numbing patches on my hand. I don't think they worked. They tried one of my veins on my left hand, but I squeezed my hand into a fist and stopped it. Then, another nurse came in and tried on of my veins on my right hand. While she was IV'ing me, her and the other nurse kept talking about how fascinating my veins were. It was weird.

Since it was a children's hospital, they took off some of the more violent television shows. Channel 40 turned into lullaby fish that showed the date and time. I settled on a dance moms marathon. My dad isn't too fond of it, so every so often I would say, "Is this too much drama?" and change it to the lullaby fish.

Then they finally took me back for surgery. They put in my anesthesia and wheeled me to the operating room. I had tonics onto the operating table and rested my head on a pillow.

I woke up in recovery. The lady took my vitals and kept asking me questions. I couldn't talk so I had to answer with my hands. I was really tired, but they were waiting for me to be fully awake so I couldn't really fall asleep. Once I got back in my room, I ate tons of blue slushies and slept before I went home.

Now it's Thursday and I haven't gone to school all week. I feel great now, I just can't have stingy foods or vigorously exercise. I'm probably going back tomorrow.
