Shujinkō was standing out on a ledge with Rusty. The cool breeze was flowing into them with a bright sunlight shining overhead. The peaceful scenes of the world's background were soothing their words. They had to talk over the loud crashing of waves, from the ocean below, into the edge of the island.
"So, was that chick any good? You know, the one that you dueled the other day?" Rusty asked Shujinkō.
"She was a great duelist. I couldn't go easy on her, unfortunately," Shujinkō said.
"Yeah, Rusty doesn't see why anyone would even try to challenge you anymore, man," Rusty laughed. Seeing that Shujinkō was still completely sober, he stopped laughing. "So... What did you and that chick talk about after the duel?"
"She just asked me a few things about myself, and I gave her and her friend tips in dueling. I also showed them my Deck."
"Wait... You showed 'em your cards?! You've never shown anyone your cards, but Rusty and Mia!" Rusty was completely shocked by what Shujinkō said. He turned to Rusty.
"I know." He saw Snow walking to them from a distance. When she came to their location, she smiled.
"Hi, Shujinkō!" Snow greeted him. "Why are you standing out here on this ledge?"
"It's calm and more peaceful than most of Duel Academy."
"Oh okay, I see." Snow noticed Rusty standing with him. "Oh, hi! Who are you?"
"Name's Rusty!" he exclaimed, holding out his hand for a friendly handshake.
"Rusty? I'm Snow!" she smiled and shook his hand.
"So, this is the girl you dueled with?"
"Sure am!" she winked at Rusty. "Anyway, you guys wanna go get some lunch?"
"Oh yeah! Sure! Rusty is kinda hungry," Rusty laughed. "You coming, Shujinkō?"
"Sure," he answered. They left this peaceful spot and started walking back toward the center of Duel Academy Island. Snow told them to stay at the lake, the site of her duel against Shujinkō, while she got some food from Obelisk Blue girls dorm. Obelisk Blue was treated much higher than the other two dorms, so they also got better food, aside from high-quality rooming. The reason for the luxury is that Duel Academy was owned by the great Seto Kaiba, a duelist in the top four of the past Battle City tournaments, and also CEO of his own company called KaibaCorp. During that tournament, he had the legendary card, "Obelisk the Tormentor," in his possession.
Later, she came back with their lunches. Shujinkō, Rusty, and Snow all sat down in front of the lake and enjoyed their meals together. Suddenly, a huge duelist from Obelisk Blue found them and interrupted their moment of peace by knocking away Shujinkō's food. Shujinkō sat there as silent as a rock. Rusty, however, stands up in anger.
"Hey, man! What was that for?!" Rusty yelled at the Obelisk Blue duelist. The duelist shoved Rusty.
"You two shouldn't be on Obelisk Blue's turf! You better leave, now!" the duelist said.
"Leave them alone, Brock! They're with me!" Snow attempted to intervene.
"Why don't Rusty and his friends duel you instead? If Rusty and his friends win, then they can stay, and you'll keep quiet! If you win, Rusty and his friends will leave; sound fair?" Rusty grinned at the student named Brock.
