Mio sulked sullen sitting on a corner of the school library.
"I must be insane." Mio groaned pulling her hair out of frustration.
She met Mugi and Ritsu on their first class earlier and her friends are pretty confident, wearing blissful smiles, on the contrary, she was so frustrated and hopeless on coming up a new plan. A great plan perhaps.
She's so desperate that her mind thought the most insane idea. But she don't have any other choice but stick on what she do best --chemistry.
"Well it might work." Mio encouraged herself. "It has to."
Scattered across her table are piles of books about a certain topic that she thought she would never ever give a damn about. But now, she was engrossing her vacant hours in studying those books.
"How to create a love spell." She read the title out loud, sounded a bit doubtful. She can't believe books like this was ever published.
Then she started reading the contents only on her thought.
"It's all bunch of bizarre junk." She concluded after reading the whole article.
If she's going to make the impossible possible she needs further studies than this folklore contexts.
Based from her professor in her special class there are specific chemicals that can trigger amygdala, and by chemicals she meant hormones. She just need to create the same replica of that chemicals to make it work.
Mio grudgingly scanned the library's deepest corners to find a book that shouts witchcraft or something old wierd looking book. Then on far side -across the shelf she less explored, she found an odd looking book and for some reason she got curious just by judging the cover.
She tried to pull the book off its shelf, but it won't budge. Like someone's pulling the book on the other side. And on her disbelief, a man's hand appeared on the other upper edge of the book and has a tight grip on the book she was aiming.
It was like an epic battle against a wierd looking book -which probably useless, but there's that part of her determined to win this pretty senseless game. Her opponent was quite strong that it took her both hands to equal their force. There's no way she's giving up the book, even though she looked silly tugging at a bookshelf, she doesn't mind and fortunately for her no one was there to witness her silliness.
She would like to celebrate as the hand in the other side finally gave up and let go of the book, this means she won, but also means that she's going to fall on the ground, hips first. And she did.
Books tumbled down the shelf like an avalanche and she groaned as it fell straight on her head.
Ittai.
"Who's that bastard?! I'll make him pay for this!" Mio growled with a red face. She stomped her feet towards the owner of the hand on the opposite side of the shelf.
Her eyes stretched out as she turned to the corner to meet the troublemaker.
It was none other than.....
Killua.
He's got that evil smirk, drew on his lips.
"You looked like, you just ran by a truck, Ms. Akiyama." He japed.
"Don't Ms. Akiyama me. You did that on purpose, didn't you?!" Mio was furious.
