VIVIENNE

The news that I, Vivienne Eleanor Primrose, was attempting at the deadly "challenge" has spread through out the whole community and the teachers. Mr. Pakha sent me a thumbs up while some other staffs stared. Not many girls finished the "challenge" without injuring themselves or giving up half-way because of their fears. I didn't plan on being like those girls. I was a strong feminist and I would be sure to prove that girls could do a lot of things boys could.

Once we reached the top of the mountain, the teachers announced that we had to move other things to the corner to set up the "challenge". Everyone was eager and some came to pat my back or wish me good luck. I tried to be polite but it was really hard to do so when strangers were touching me without permission. Luckily, Tori sensed my discomfort and dragged me away from the crowd.

'Good luck, ok? We'll all look out for any danger and if you fall, we'll try to catch you.' Tori promised, looking deeply into my eyes. I smiled and pulled her into a hug before being dragged by Cass and Candi to the start of the "challenge".

With everyone co-operating, it was structured very quickly and it looked fairly strong so that it won't just collapse when I was on it.

'Ok, Lakewood high, Vivienne Primrose is attempting at the "challenge". Make sure to be alarmed to catch her if she falls and incourage her while she is on top, ok?' Everyone answered with a nod. Mr. Pakha turned to me with a smile. 'You may start.'

Without a hesitation, I started climbing up the ladder that lead to the first obstacle, the slippery ropes.

Not a single part of the rope was exposed. It was 100% jam covered and super sticky. My fear of heights were starting to kick in, making it impossible for me to look down. However, my persistence kept me moving, moving my feet one by one. My shoes stuck to the jam and wouldn't let it go unless I pulled it with force.

That proved to be a mistake. The whole spider web shook and my body moved with it. Letting out a whimper, I froze for a minute. But then, hearing my friends' incouraged shouts made me move. I slipped a couple of time before finally moving on to the second obstacle.

I forgot to mention before, the first obstacle made your shoes sticky and slippery, making it even more difficult to accomplish the "challenge". That's why so many of us got injured.

With my shoes are sticky, I sighed and tried to scrape off as much as I could. When I figured that it was pointless and just moved on to put on the weights. They were shaped into a small ball that weighed about 3kg each. With both of them tightened on to both my ankles, I started to step over to the heavy walk.

The holes were bigger than my ankle and I could most definitely fall into it. The wooden boards were at the sides, to prevent us from falling side ways. With a heavy breath, I started to cross.

Just when I thought I was doing good, my shoes decided to slip. I screamed and gripped the wooden board. I put my whole weight on to the wooden boards and limped my way over, crossing the bridge.

Everyone was cheering now, clapping feverishly. I felt my mood lift and I suddenly felt proud. But then, it dawned upon me that I had to jump on to a wooden pole. Shit, I should have really thought this through.

I snapped off the weights and left them on the floor. I checked the bottom of my shoes and sighed in relief when I saw that majority of the jam was gone. Ok, now, only jumping off the structure and landing on the pople without dying. Easy, right? *sarcasm*
