VIVIENNE

I heard bristling noises in the middle of the night. The sleeping bag next to mine unzipped and Cass slipped out, walking out.
I was too tired to open my eyes and I could only tell it was her because of her smell. Strawberries, her favourite fruit that she always somehow managed to smell like everyday.
She walked out the tent with a torch and zipped the tent close. I was grateful because the night wind wasn't something you wanted to be awaken by.
I guessed that Cass went to use the loo or maybe just for a breather. It was quite stuffy inside this tent and I was tempted to follow her out. Only, the sleeping bag was so heated and warm that it was convincing me to go back go sleep.
I promised myself that I would let it lure me to sleep as soon as Cass came back. My body co-operated with my mind and stayed unfazed to the warmth of the sleeping bag.
I counted seconds to count how long Cass has been gone for. When it was only 360 seconds, I wasn't too worried, Cass was famous for taking long in the loo because of her "scared twinkling time" being the only source of privacy. Yeah, she said exactly that.
When I was up to 600, I began to worry. I was stuck between two choices. 1) Go outside on my own and search for Cass. 2) Wake up Candi and Tori to search for Cass altogether. I opted for option 2.
I slipped out of my sleeping bag and crawled carefully in the dark to Candi and Tori's sleeping figures. I laid my hand on their shoulders and shook them both simultaneously, stirring them away from their dream.
They groaned, swatting at my hand like I was a pest. Candi's swat wasn't that painful - in fact, I couldn't even feel it - but Tori's was definitely strong and I winced, biting my tongue to stop myself from screaming out loud.
'Candi! Tori!' I hissed, removing my hands from them. I had to move away before they inflicted anymore damage to my poor innocent hands.
'W-what? Viv, is that you?' Tori called out sleepily, rubbing her eyes softly. Candi groaned louder than before, turning to face the other side.
'Tori, Cass has been gone for over 10 minutes. I'm worried.' I told her, attempting to shake Candi again at the same time. Boy, this girl was hard to wake.
Tori noticed my struggle and assisted me, pulling on Candi's precious golden hair.
'Ow!' Candi hissed as she sprouted up, glaring at Tori with her blue eyes. 'What was that for?'
'Cass is missing. We need to find her.' That was all I had to say before all the annoyance on her face was replaced by concern and worry.
'Oh my god, really? What are we going to do? Should we wake the teachers? What do we do?' Candi freaked, still somehow keeping her voice silent. Tori and I shared glances, uncertain of what to do.
Tori stood up, brushing her hair with her fingers.
'Let's go tell the teachers and then start searching. 4 people searching for her will take forever.' Tori stated, clearly confident to find Cass. I frowned. Who was the fourth person?
'What do you mean 4 people? It's just me, you and Candi. Who are you talking about?'
Candi and Tori sighed.
'Beau, is who she means. He's her boyfriend and he is entitled with the duty to find her if she goes missing, just as we do.' Candi said, standing up beside Tori. I felt like a child being scolded as they towered over me.
