The next two months went by rather quickly. Andy and I hung out almost every day. It was nice to have a best friend again, even if he was a boy and didn't understand all of my girly problems. We told each other everything in total honesty. He was the first person I'd learned to trust since the incident with Jessa and Josh.
After a month of being friends, Andy took me to meet his family. They were wonderful. His mother was a pediatric nurse at the local hospital. His dad was an important CEO at some big company down south. He was only home on the weekends, as he traveled the country during the week. Andy had two siblings, Angel and Kayden. As soon as I walked through the door, Angel, Kayden, and I were inseperable.
Kayden was a spitting image of Andy, though eleven years younger. He had short brown hair and piercing blue eyes. They were both stubbornly adorable. Kayden was just as sweet as his brother, if not sweeter. Just one smile from that little boy and you were puddy. Kayden was much smaller than most kids his age.
The day I met Andy's family, it was Angel's birthday. She was turning seven, ten years between her and Andy. She had curly blonde hair like her mother's, and greenish gold eyes, almost matching mine. When she smiled, she lit up the room. She loved to dance. She had such a free spirit. She reminded me so much of my own little sister, Abbie.
