CH12: Expecting the Unexpected

The little red corruption sits on the floating black egg. He speaks to me with a malicious sneer, "I never would have thought to meet with a Seraph, especially this young."

"What exactly are you? Are you a guardian chara?" I questioned it despite of knowing that I felt that he wasn't a guardian chara like Ryuu. I wanted it to clarify my belief.

Within my dragon transformation, Ryuu warns me, "Be careful, Azami. That thing isn't like us guardian charas."

"Oh?" It was taken back by my question, "Do you not know what I am little Seraph?"

I fiercely looked at it. I was getting frustrated that he keeps calling Seraph. What in the world is a Seraph anyway?!

"I am not sure to pitty you or be pleased that you don't know who I am." The little Corruption announced as he crosses his arms together, "From the looks of things, your parents haven't explained anything to you have they?"

"What? Explained me what exactly?" I am completely lost as to what exactly my parents supposed to speak to me about. Heck! I simply flat out don't comprehend anything what is going on.

It atrociously grins.

"Don't worry little Seraph," a huge red circle with a five star in the middle appears before him, "Because whether I tell you or not, you'd be dead!"

Amu and Kukai watched my frightful expression. They had no clue of what's going on, after all, they cannot see the little Corruption. Except the magic circle that become visible to them.

"What the heck is this?!" The same design of the magic circle appears below everyone's feet.

Amu panics as dark shadows wrap around her legs, including Kukai's and myself. We all couldn't move from where we stood.

"Kukai! Amu!" I turn my head around to see them struggling to escape.

"Dammit!" Kukai curses as he continues to fail from breaking away.

"Die little Seraph! Along with your pathetic mortal friends!"

My frightful eyes extended as a massive blasts emits from the magic circle.

"Azami use the ring of fire! Azami!" Ryuu screams her lungs out as my body freezes up in place, aswell as everything around me.

Various thoughts raged out as the blast directs towards me. I feel overwhelmed by the pressure of how everyone expects of me today, especially at this moment. I don't know who this creature is or what it is, the explanation that my parents supposed to inform me about, especially how to use the ring of fire that Ryuu is asking me to use. Everything up to now has been unintentional. All the things I've had were pure chance of providence.

As the massive flare approaches a few feet away, I'm still uncable to use the ring of fire. This will be totally my fault that Kukai and Amu die just because I was unable to protect them. *No! I don't want Kukai and Amu to die because of me.*

The locket that my beloved mother gave me, immediately began to pulse. An immense rupture of blinding light radiates from it.

The little Corruption covers his eyes from the blinding light, "W-What is this!"
