CH.6: Dragon Egg Hatch

//////Azami's Point of View //////

I am not sure where I was running to, but I am positive that it is anywhere but the school. Tears fall against the wind as I ran. I have embarrassed myself by kissing Hiroki on the cheek. I mean I have done it before but not in front of my classmates. *What in the world gotten into me?!*

I was startled to hear a giggle, "Courage! That's is what has gotten into you!" 

"Huh? W-Who said that?" I looked all around. I took notice that I ended up at bridge that is held at the community park. No one was around, which got me more nervous. I felt something wiggling out my bag. I looked down yet to see one of the eggs I found this morning wiggling itself out the bag.

"EEEEh!" I yelled in surprised as I see the flamed dragon imprinted egg got out and is floating in midair before my eyes. 

The egg began to crack and a loud voice came from from it, "Man! This egg is tough, but not as tough as me!" The glowing light burst within the egg making me fall down on my butt and covered myself with my arm before it blinded me. 

"Aaaaaah! Free at last!" A small lil chibi girl says happily. She wore black boots, black mini skirt, and black blouse with a red ruby attached to it. What surprised me was that she had yellow horns, red scales on her wrists, and had a dragon tail.

"W-What? What are you?" I said with a frighten voice as I stood up.

The tiny chibi girl giggles, "My name is Ryuu. I am your Guardian Chara."

I blinked out of confusion, "Guardian Chara?"

"Correct!" Ryuu floats closer to me, "I am your would-be-self."

"Eh? My would-be-self?"

"Azami-chan, didn't you pray to God for this? You said you wanted to become someone better. I was solely born from the prayer and desire."

"What! There's no way that could be possible. I-I...I just can't believe this." There was no way that this tiny girl was born from my prayer...Could it?

"Believe it! It's possible because I am here in front of you ain't I?! I am here to help you become your would-be-self!" She looks at me angry. Out of the blue, a blue haired boy with cat ears appears. *Cat ears?* I think to myself.

He smirks, "I see you have a Chara."

I hear Ryuu snarl. I presume that this guy is bad news, "Who are you? What do you want?"

He simply steps closer to me which causes me to flinch and walk backwards. My back hits the edge of the bridge. He leans closer to me towards my face. It sounded like he was sniffing something off my body. Which I was correct because he said,"You have more eggs with you, am I correct?"

Out of his shoulder a Cat Chara character appears on his shoulder, "Yeah! Nyah! She has two unhatched eggs!"

"Azami! Don't let this guy take hold of the other two eggs!"

"Huh? Why would he want with my eggs?"

 "Well you see- EYAAAH!" The cat boy flicks off Ryuu out of the way.

"RYUU!"

"So, your name is Azami?" My body froze out of fear. I didn't like the ill sense I felt that he was giving. Unoticed to me, I guess he advantage of my fear, he took the eggs out of my bag. "Here they are. Thanks for the eggs, Sweety." He winks at me.

"Give back Azami's eggs you thief!" Ryuu yells.

"Why should I? These eggs seem like they are near to hatch any time now." He says happily while his Cat Chara says, "Nyah! We scored BIG time today, Ikuto. Let's go." Ikuto agrees as he turns around and begins to walk off.

"Azami! Do something!" Ryuu yells. I couldn't move. I was scared for many reasons. This is really happening. I cannot fool myself that this isn't real when everything is happening right before my eyes. I squeeze my fists, *Those eggs are my would-be-self...If they are the ones that help me become someone better...then I...then I...I gotta do something.*

"Give me back my eggs!" I screamed as I ran up to him.

Ryuu smirk, *That's it Azami!* She yells, "Character Changah! Stand! Fight! Roar!" Dragon scales appeared on my wrists, small horns appears above my ears, and glowing invisible dragon wings appeared on my back. Before Ikuto realize what happened, I was standing on top of the short bridge wall with my eggs at hand. 

"What! How?!" Ikuto asked stunned.

"Yay! You did it Azami!" Cheered Ryuu.  I looked down to see dragon scales on my wrist disappear, as well as my wings and horns.

*Did I just do that?* For a moment there I felt an empowering sensation when I dash to get back my eggs. I was amazed at myself as Ryuu smiles at me knowing that I was content that I stood up for something.  My mistake was that I let my guard down because Ikuto quickly appeared next to me reaching for my eggs. "Gimme back the eggs!"

I glared at him, "Never!" I took a step back.

"Ah! Azami Look out!" Ryuu yelled because i accidentally tripped off the ledge.

"AAAAAAAAHHH!" I screamed.

"Azami!" Ikuto reached out his hand to save me but he failed.

I see that I was far away to fall into the deadly deep water. I may not be a big deal for someone who knew how to swim because I can't! *OH NO!* I close my eyes out of fear.

"AZAMI!" Ryuu yelled, "You gotta fly!"

I opened my eyes, "How?!"

"You gotta do another Character Change!"

"BUT!"

"Believe in it! You can make it possible like before Azami! It is your would-be-self!"

*I prayed that I wanted to become someone better and it has been granted...I hard to believe, but...I do want to believe..* I grinted my teeth, "I WANT TO BECOME MY WOULD-BE-SELF!" As soon as I yelled out my desire, the locket that my mother gave me began to glow.

/////Ikuto's Point of View//////

Ikuto was frighten as he sees that Azami girl tripped over the ledge. He yelled out, "Azami!" I tried to grabbed her hand but sadly he didn't get to catch her hand. Her body continued to fall until a bright light emmited from her.

*Impoosible!* He thinks to himself as Yoru was surprised aswell since he yelled, "Nyah! How!? How can that girl have a locket like the Humpty Lock?! Neh Negh Ikuto?!" Ikuto couldn't respond to him because neither could he explain.
