Chapter 8 ~ Let's Go

As we walked to my room, Piper tried to make a conversation.

"So... Ben and Jessica, what happened with Evie up there?" She started awkwardly. "Can someone explain to me how this all happened?" She released from her arm around me moving it to her side.

"What do you mean?" Me and Ben said at the same time, Ben tightened his grip, to a more romantic grip, as if a normal response to hearing Evie's name.

"I mean..." She started, sounding like she regretted asking in the first place. " I mean, how do you both know Evie, and what was up with the making out before, like yes even I was cheering for you guys but why? And what does Evie have to do with it?"

"Well..." Ben tried to start but was lost for words.

"Evie is Ben's friend." I was cut off before I could continue.

"Actually girlfriend, well ex-girlfriend, when I found out this was your school I packed my bags full and brought everything, hoping I could stay. I broke up with her, and hoped that I could win you over. Up until a few minutes ago I thought that-"he stopped for a moment, looking down at my hand, now intertwined with Pipers. I rubbed my thumb over Piper's hand. "I thought I succeeded but now I see otherwise." He gave a sweet smile.

"Well." Me and Piper locked eyes, cheeks instantly turning red.

"You two look cute together, but Piper, know that if you hurt her I will not hesitate to kill you on the spot." He made us both perk up a bit.

"Here is your hallway." I started to run down as Ben started talking.

Throwing open my door, I jumped on my bed and started singing a random song of my choice without even bothering to close the door.

Ben walked in as I was looking through my dresses for a nice dress to wear to lunch.

"I thought you said Piper was straight." He walked over to my balcony door and opened it, letting the beautiful rays of sun shine in.

"I did too until today. Trying to get your attention I pulled her aside as she came in late, but as she was asking me what she missed, I leaned her back and kissed her. Maybe she liked me but didn't have enough guts to do anything until now."

"Why were you trying get my attention?" he paused, putting his hand lightly on my shoulder before turning back around to the balcony and looking out.
