Mikey and his brother soon arrived at my house after school had let out. I had written a letter to "G" today, but he didn't take it out of my locker. It was strange, but I didn't worry about it. Sometimes he takes a day to respond or take the letter.

Gerard, with his messy hair, old converse, a Misfits shirt and distressed jeans, was sat on the couch playing with his hands. "Hi," I said with a faint smile. I knew that he would be quiet as well, he had never talked to very many people- especially is they were new to him. "Hey." He moved to the next cushion over and looked down at his hands, playing with his fingers.

"So, uh, how are you?" "I'm very good actually, you?" "I'm alright so far." He looked at me confused, like he didn't understand what I had said.  I opened my mouth to say something, but he said his statement first.  "Why only alright?" I looked away from him to the floor.  I didn't know how to answer, seeing as how I always felt alright and nothing more.  Gerard averted his eyes sighed deeply, his breath shaking a bit.  "Frank? Can you come here?" Mikey shouted from the kitchen.  "What did you burn this time around," I shouted back, telling Gerard I would be back in a minute.  I looked at him before I left, and it seemed like he was blushing.

"Yeah Mikes?" "Hey, so, I didn't cook anything- obviously- but I wanted you to know something." My eyebrows knitted together in confusion as I crossed my arms on my chest.  "What's going on?" "Well, you see, uh-" "Please tell me without the extra words, Mikes." "Okay, okay! So my brother kind of likes you.  But please don't say that I told you anything, he's really shy and he would hate me if he knew I told you." "Wait wait, what do you mean 'like', Mikey?"

Mikey sighed and looked at me, "Frank, he's been the one writing letters to you.  The night that I texted you, he had a letter to you on his chest and he was crying.  I sat with him crying until he fell asleep." I looked away from him and stepped back. "I just wanted you to know.  He's given me your letters to read, and I know you like him back.. I only ask that you don't hurt him." "Mikey, I'd never do that. You know that." He nodded in reassurance as I went back to the living room.

I noticed that Gerard had a sketch book and was- obviously- drawing in it.  "Hey Gee, what're you drawing?" His head darted up and he covered it immediately. "N-nothing.. It's nothing." I sat down next to him on the couch and leaned back. "It's okay, I don't criticize other people's art. That's rude. If they think it looks good, then who am I to criticize?" He looked at me with an innocent look, and it made my stomach twist. Not in a sick way, but in a 'i really like you and you shouldn't look at me like that' way.

He smiled a faint smile at me and but his bottom lip before uncovering what he had drawn. "Holy shit," I leaned over and studied the drawing closely. The details of the boy were perfect, the structure was amazing, and soon after I studied it, I realized that it was me. "You.. you drew me?" Gerard flushed a deep shade of red and looked down. He whispered a faint "yeah" and covered it up again. "It's the literal definition of perfection, Gee." He looked up at me with those innocent eyes again and I wanted him to stop.

"Thank you." He said quietly, smiling bigger this time.  "You're wel-" "Hey guys, can we go to bed? Kind of been a long day.." Mikey came out of the kitchen as he spoke.  Mikey immediately went to the guest room, knowing that it was his own little room in my house.  Gerard slowly stood up and gently asked where he could sleep.  "You can sleep in my room, if you'd like." I spoke to him gently, I'd hate to come off as too loud or too abrupt.  His face flushed red and he giggled quietly.  "That'll be okay," he said as we walked to my room upstairs.  "I sort of live in an attic space, but it's really spacey, so don't worry."  I looked in his eyes and smiled sweetly.  Before now, I never knew his eye color.  But now that I've seen them, I never want to look away.  They were a hazel mixed with green specs- almost like a natural coloured galaxy.
