Rain fell silently in the winter night. The winds whisper as the moon miraculously outshines the busy city.
"I'm scared."
However, her mind was elsewhere. She shivers, the cold rain making her circuits feel like they're freezing. Her short pearl white hair stuck to her face, much to her annoyance. Rubbing her bare arms, she continued to her destination. Where ever that was. She didn't know where she was going, she was merely following the tall, dark figure in front of her.
"Don't be," the shadow muttered , "they're good people, I promise."
The young mutant frowned, "You said you hated them, that they were cruel, that the only reason you stayed in the clan was to protect the ones who couldn't themselves, the children." He turned swiftly, snarling, "It's my brothers I hate. They are the cruel ones."
She stared at the man. "What about Mike? He's done nothing to you.. has he?" she mumbled quietly. He sighed, "No, he hasn't done anything, the others have. He hates me for what I did."
The girl furrowed her brows, "What did you do?"
"I, " he hesitated, " I'll tell you later, c'mon, we're almost there." He turned, walking again. The girl nodded solemnly, following the shadow.
Eventually, the silent duo reached the doors of a large abandoned warehouse. "Is this it?" He nodded, "Yes," he entered a code into a small pad hidden away from view, "let us go, shall we?" She smiled following him inside.
"Don?"
"Hmm?" He hummed. " I love you." she smiled.
"I love you, too, Sari"
