!st day of school for Gio and first day back for Kayla-

"I'm ready!"Giovanna walked in the kitchen and did a little twirl.

"Oh baby,you look goregeous!"She bowed and I sat her at the table."Here,eat up or we are gonna be late."She sat on the chair and began to eat her  scrambled eggs.

My phone was buzzing.I picke dit up and the caller I.D was Ryan.

"Hey babe."He said.

"Hi hun.How is work so far?"

"I am calling about that,I got a promotion!"

"That is amazing babe!Great job."I was truly happy for him.He is becoming very well known in town.

"Thanks,how is Gio doing?"

"She is all ready for first grade.But yea,she is dressed and looking adorable as always."I packed her little back pack while holding the phone between my ear and shoulder.

"Awe,tell her I love her and to have a good day."

"Alright.Imma take her now.Love you.See you when you come home."

"Okay,love you both.Be careful."

"Ok.Bye."

He hung up and I got Gio's new little coat on and she put her dora back pack on.

"Bye.Have a wonderful day and be kind.Even though you always are."I kissed her forehead and she hugged me.

"I love you mommy."She let go and looked at me."Bye!"She walked to the front door and one of the teachers took her in.I waved to the teacher as a thanks and then drove to Isabella's apartment.

"Hey girly.Come in."I gave her a hug and a kiss on the cheek."How'd it go?"I plopped on the sofa and sighed.

"So terrible."Her eyes widened.

"Did she scream,pinch,kick?"I shook my head.

"She hugged me then walked in.Just like that."She laughed.

"She'll be fine.I promise."

After we talked I had to head to work.I thanked her and went to work.

"Hey babe."Ryan met me at the door and kissed me.He wrapped his arm around me and we went in the elevator."How'd it go?"

"Good.I mean I almost cried.She hugged me and walked in."He laughed.

"She's fine.I mean the school isn't the best,but it is good."I nodded.

The school was pretty,ghetto if you ask me.I wasn't sure if I wanted her going there but I had to get back to work.

"Yes.I have the files right here.Ok thank you."I hung up the phone and shuffled some papers on the desk.Ryan was in a meeting so it was just me in the office.

The phone began to ring.

"Again?"I sighed and answered."Yes?"

"Is this Mrs.Marks?"It was a deep, husky voice.

"Yes.Is there a problem?"

"Yes,there has been a shooting at your daughters school.A lot of kids were shot but we don't know for sure if Giovanna was.We need you down here now please."I slammed the phone on the table and grabbed my coat.

I sprinted down the hall.Taking my heels off and everything.I slammed the conference room door open causing everyone to look at me.
