"Here is the video of what he told me."She clicked play and Ryan put his hand on my knee.

"I was aiming for her.Happy?I admitted it."He was sitting back in the chair.

"Why did you aim for her?"The officer asked.

"Because,I am embarrassed to have her as my daughter."

"But you didn't she was at an orphanage."He chuckled.

"That was my wife's idea.I was going to kill Giovanna when she was with us but my wife took her.When I found out,I beat her to death."

"When was this?"

"5 years ago."

"Ok,explain to me your life Carlos and how you knew she was going to be there."He sat up.

"Marie,my wife.She was a nice girl when I married her.I got drunk a lot so I was abusive to our kids and her.She always said she was gonna leave but I told her if she ever did,I would kill her.I wasn't kidding either.After our 8th kid, which was Giovanna,we moved to the projects.The oldest kids moved out.After telling Marie I would kill Giovanna,she took her to the orphanage along with the other 5 kids.Jack,Alison,Kimberley,Joseph and Angel.All of them were taken to a family a couple days after their arrival except for Angel and Giovanna.The other kids were strong and brave.Angel was just a bad kid and Gio was too sweet.After I found out what Marie did,I beat her to death."He put his head down and sighed."I wish I can take everything back.I really do.So anyways.I heard about Giovanna being taken into those lawyers family and decided if I couldn't have her,neither could they.So I went to the school and aimed for her.But the little girl next to her was in the way."He was crying and rubbing his head.

"You know Hannah died.That little girl.Along with all the teachers you shot,the principal,the innocent kids that were in the hallway."He sobbed.

"Just take me to jail please."She got up and sighed."But before that,please.Just let me see my baby one more time."He looked at her with big glassy eyes.

"I'll see what I can do."He stood up and accepted the hand cuffs she was putting on him.

She pressed the off button.

"I have no words to explain how I feel right now."The officer nodded."If he is behind a glass wall with the little phone thing,then he can speak to her.But the second we want to leave,we will."She nodded.

"That is fine.I will bring Gio to you and then you can follow me to the room."I nodded and she left to get Gio.

"You are doing the right thing by letting her see him.It's possible he could be sentenced to death."

"I hope so because he killed so many innocent people."Gio walked in and I took her hand.

"Where are we going now mommy?"I picked her up.

"Your dad wants to speak to you."Her grip tightened."Don't worry,he will be behind glass so he can't touch you.I promise."She calmed down.

I sat with her in the chair and facing us,behind thick glass was her father.The killer.He picked up the phone and I pressed the speaker button so I can hear and so can the officer.

"Hi baby."

"Hi daddy."She smiled.

"Daddy is going to get better ok?And then I can see you.Are you being kind to these nice people."

"Yes,this is my mommy.And my daddy is over there."She pointed to Ryan.

"I know,be nice and behave.I am sorry for what I did to you baby. know you are still young but I am so so so sorry.I wish I can still be with you."A tear rolled down his cheek."Daddy has done a lot of bad things.And I have to have a long time out.But maybe these kind people will let you see me again?"I smiled.

"I love you daddy and I forgive you.Mommy does too."She had tears in her eyes.

"I love you too baby.Can I speak to you Ma'm?"I picked up the phone."Please,take care of her."

"I will.I think of her as my daughter."He smiled.

"Ok.Time is up.You have chores to do Carlos."The officer spoke and Carlos put his hand to the glass.

Gio slowly put her hand to his.I picked her up and we left.

"Come on.Let's get home."She just nodded and sucked her thumb.
