Stuart Imagine - Internship (movie)

"Hey hottie, wanna get in my car for a little?" you heard someone say from the car you were walking next to.

You rolled your eyes and popped your middle finger in the direction of the guy who had just parked his car in front of the school, hearing him laugh behind his window. You were used to this now even if it was still extremely disturbing and annoying to have hormonal teenagers constantly trying to catch your attention by calling you names. You never thought of yourself as a hot girl, you knew you weren't ugly but you knew that you weren't the prettiest either but you didn't care, you were confortable with yourself well except when you were cat called.

You spotted your best friend Stuart by his locker and walked silently behind him, covering his eyes with your hands, "Who could it be Twombly?" you murmured in his ear.

Stuart flipped around, taking your hands away as he gave you a big smile. He was wearing a black buttoned-up shirt with some jeans and had his usual glasses and beanie on his head. Even if you two had been best friends for years you could never quite stop the small butterflies in your stomach every time he would say something cute to you or when he would stare at you. You were aware that you had a hot best friend, most of the girls of the school wanted to date him and you always got somehow jealous when one of them would try to flirt with him. None of you were popular but let's just stay that the nerdy look was now making the girls horny -gross. However, you don't remember Stuart talking to you about a girl which made you wonder at some point if he wasn't gay, why not? It was a possibility that would probably break your heart but hey, he might be.

"Hey (Y/N)! You look really pretty today," he said then scratched the back of his neck awkwardly. "Uh.. I didn't mean to say you didn't look pretty the other days.. You're always pretty." he added, blushing.

"Thanks!" you pecked him on the cheek and decided to walk to class with him next to you, trying to hide your own tainted cheeks.

Suddenly you heard someone whistle beside you and as you decide to ignore it you realize that Stuart is no longer walking by your side. Turning around, you see Stuart already grabbing a hold of an other guy's shirt, Stuart was shaking and you could feel he was about to explode.

"Stuart, don't. Really they're a waste of time."

"I'm never wasting my time when I'm defending you." Stuart gritted, still firmly holding the guy.

"I don't know why you're defending this girl, she looks like a slut." the guy laughed making you cringe. "A slut I'd like to put in my bed though."

Okay, you were wearing a dress without tights and some heeled boots but it was a sunny and warm day and you knew for sure your outfit was not unappropriate as a lot of girls were wearing similar outfits as yours. You just didn't expect Stuart to punch the guy.

"What did you just say?" your best friend yelled, already about to throw his fist in the guy's face again.

The guy who cat called you punched Stuart right back and in a matter of seconds they were fighting in the middle of the hallway, a massive group of students around them, screaming for them to keep on going. You interrupted them both by standing in the middle, grabbing Stuart by the waist and pushing him away.

"Stuart, stop it!" you screamed as he was trying to get away from ypur grip to finish what he had started. "Please!" you begged one more time.

"Stay away from my girl!" Stuart yelled and you froze.

Did he just really call you his girl? Yes, you two were best friends but he had never said anything like this before, you always thought this was something you would say about your girlfriend and as in for now, you weren't Stuart's girlfriend.

You decided to ignore this for now and forcefully dragged him in the bathroom, putting water on some napkins and applying them against his few bleeding wounds. He cringed a little and enclosed his hand around your wrist when it hurt him.

"I'm sorry but I couldn't let this go okay? They always do this to you and ignoring them doesn't work." Stuart explained, still fuming. "I should have kicked him harder, the way he was looking at you, I-"

"Shh... Don't think about it okay? Anyway, the guy will never put me in his bed you know?" you laughed but it didn't seem to relax him.

"Yeah well nobody in this school deserves you, you're too good for them."

"Stuart?"

"Yes?"

You cleared your throat and put the napkins on the sink next to you, "What did you mean when you said 'my girl' earlier?"

You felt Stuart tense in front of you as he avoided your gaze, looking at his feet then at his hands, clearing his throat like if he was about to say something important.

"I-uh, i-it's complicated."

"Why would it be?"

"Because I don't want to lose you (Y/N)" Stuart muttered as you lifted his chin with your finger.

"You will never lose me Stuart, I promise."

Your best friend let out a shaky breath, looking at you with an expression you never saw before, fear.

"The thing is that I-I.. you're my best friend but I can't help but feel... more for you." Stuart stuttered. "I've always wanted to be more than best friend with you b-because I'm in love with you. I love the way you smile and how you always laugh at my jokes even the dumb ones, I love the way you look at me when you need help for your math equations, I love the way you dance when you are drunk and the way you say my name. I love everything about you (Y/N)."

When his rant was over your mouth was wide open and you blinked a few times to make sure you weren't actually dreaming. Stuart, your best friend for whom you've had a crush since the beginning, was confessing the same thing about you.

"I-oh my god. I should have never said it, I-I'm gonna go." Stuart was about to leave the bathroom but you grabbed his wrist, a questioning look appearing on his face.

"Stuart, you and I were so oblivious. Just kiss me you idiot."

And that's when a nice make out session started, with the guy who was your best friend and probably about to become your boyfriend.
