Ring-ring!
No! No! I was having a good dream! Why?! You stupid phone! Why did you have to wake me up…?
My phone was jumping on my desk as it vibrating and ringing. I get up. I could hardly see. My vision is blurry. After attempting to grab my phone for like a million times, I finally grabbed it and answered it. “Hello.”
“Hey Amy. It’s Touka. ” Touka! She’s my best friend.
She might have a sour mood or personality sometimes but she is trustworthy friend who is amazing and will always be there for you.
“I thought probably you would like to go to the coffee shop at 1:00 a.m. I’ll be working but you can eat breakfast while I work. Okay? I have to go now. Bye!” 11 am. Okay then. That’s fine. I am hungry though.
I turned to look at the clock that was on the other desk that is next to my bed. Shoot! It’s 10:45. I have to go change but I shouldn’t worry though. It only takes me seven minutes to change. I change into a just plain white t-shirt, pitting a sweater over it and skinny jeans with just a plain, old, worn out pair of shoes.
I ran out the door in a hurry. Not brag, but I’m a quick runner. I once ran in a marathon getting third place. I was really happy that day even though I didn’t get first place.
I walked into the coffee shop once I arrived with a smile and catching my breath. I sometimes don’t like walking or running alone because of ghouls. Ghouls are like zombies. They don’t have any taste in food. Ghouls eat humans. That scares me. I sometimes think I will die because of a ghoul but I really hope I don’t. Though. This coffee shop makes me feel secured and peaceful. I love it here. I always visit this shop with or without Touka telling me.
I took a seat as Touka walked up to me with a slight smile. “Hello, Amy. How are you today?”
“Well so far I’m okay. Yo-” I jumped in fear as I heard a random person laughing. I looked over at the random person to see a man with orange messy hair. I couldn’t see his eyes since his back was towards me.
“Stay here.” Touka said as she walked to other people, attending them.
“Okay.” I nodded and watched her. But suddenly a person caught my eye. The guy who sat across from the random laughing person had black neat hair with bright blue eyes and pale skin. He was… cute. I mean. I’ve seen him before in this shop but I haven’t really… um… grew a crush towards him.
The cute guy was reading a book I used to read. It was called ‘The Deadly Hospital’. That book is so amazing. I read it like… like a million times! The ending was pretty sad. The main character died in the ending. Pretty sad. To me though. I heard that there is a second book but I haven’t read it yet.
The random laughing guy kept laughing.
“It’s not that funny, isn’t it?” I heard the cute boy said while crossing his hand for eavesdropping people.
The orange haired guy stopped laughing. “I’m just saying you can’t have a first date on a bookstore, right?” The orange haired guy asked. A first date… Dang it. He’s taken. But I’m not done listening.
“Why not? She might thrilled, you know!?”
“I’ll state for the record, that won’t happen. Case dismissed.”
“Huh? Then first, I’ll take her out to Big Girl, just the two of us, and we’ll get a burger.” The cute boy said while still arguing with orange haired guy. I love Big Girl! Their burger are yummy! Really tasty and delicious.
