We Are Ghouls (Kaneki Ken Fan-fic)

Chapter 5

"Thanks for the coffee, Touka." I said as I took the last sip of my coffee.

"You're welcome." Touka replied. I stood up ready to head out when Touka grabbed my arm. "Wait, Amy."

"What's wrong?" I said with a confused look. I looked around the coffee shop. No Kaneki was found. I miss him. I know it's been an hour or two since I saw him but I really do miss him.

"Well... Tomorrow were going to have a meeting of something."

"What's somethi-" I was cut off by Touka as she dragged me through the coffee shop. Dragging me behind her quickly.

"Touka? Are we there yet? I mean. Where are we going anyway?" I asked as I looked around. To be honest, it's fun when Touka drags me behind her. She dragged me upstairs of the coffee shop. The stairs were dusty but they didn't seem like they were going to break at any moment.

After being dragged for what seemed like forever, she opened a door and she finally let go of my arm.

Finally. She had a hard grip on me and it really did hurt. "Done. " Touka said as she closed the door. I took off my shoes and I sat down on the couch, relaxing and rubbing my arm a bit, trying to sooth the pain.

After sitting there in silence, the door slowly opened making a creak noise. "I'm here." An old man with white hair said, wearing a very nice suit. I know the old man.

His name is Yoshimura. Yoshimura is the manager from the coffee shop.

Touka and I stood up and in unison we said, "Hello, Mr. Yoshimura."

"Hello, Amy and Touka." Yoshimura replied with a slight. Touka and I sat back down. "Touka brought you here because she didn't want to ask you in front of everybody. But now. That we're somewhere more private. Do you know what happened to Rize?"

Rize? Who is she? "Who's Rize?" I asked.

"The girl who was with Kaneki." Touka responded. "What happened to her?"

What happened...? I can't remember everything... "All I remember is that Touka and I were walking. Then I saw Kaneki and Rize walking the other direction, so I followed them..." I feel like a stalker now. "I was hiding to see what was happening... then I saw Rize turn to ghoul... and... well... that's all I remember."

"Should I tell Yomo to go get Kaneki?" Touka asked as she turned to Yoshimura.

"Yes." He nodded as Touka left the room.

"Did you get bitten?" Yoshimura asked with a slight smile.

"I think... I did. I think Kaneki also did get bitten." I pointed to my right arm.

"You need to protect yourself. Yomo will come to teach you and Kaneki how to protect yourself." Protect myself? From what???

"From what?" I raised an eyebrow with a confused face.

"The CCG because the CCG are coming to kill all the ghouls." Yoshimura said with a serious voice.

"What are we going to do with them?"

"We're going to kill them with our dark side." Wow! I never knew Yoshimura was... dark...

I nodded. "We're here." The door opened for us to see Touka, Kaneki, and a tall man with short white hair, blue eyes, small beard, and he was wearing a dark grey cloak. I'm guessing that's Yomo.

"Take a seat Kaneki." Yoshimura smiled.

"Okay." Kaneki nodded and walked over to sit next to me. Yay!!

"We were talking about Rize. The girl you were with the other day. Do you know what happened to her?"

"Yes." Kaneki responded. "We were walking under the bridge. As we walked there, we stopped and she hugged me. While she was doing that, I saw her back grow ghoul wings and it almost stabbed my eyes. She was about to bite me but Amy got bitten trying to save me. When Amy fainted, I ran but Rize pulled my legs with her wings. She stabbed my stomach and I kept running. I hid but she found me. She was about to bite me again but everything collapsed on top of her... and that's when I fainted also."

"So... We're ghouls... right?" Am I? I know I am. I mean. Things have been weird ever since that day happened.

"A bit. You guys are ghouls but you guys are also humans." Yoshimura replied, shrugging. "You guys are... one eyed ghouls." Well... at least I'm still human. "Yomo, take the two of them to the ghouls death."

"Yes, Yoshimura." Yomo said in a serious tone. To me, it seems like Yomo is always serious.

Kaneki and I got up from our seat and walked out of them room and out of the café shop. We got in the car and Yomo drove us to... whatever the place was called... While we got there, it was... quiet....

Yomo parked and got out and closed his door as we did the same. We walked under the bridge to find stairs that led down to well... somewhere.

"Let's go." Yomo said and took the stairs as the darkness ate him.

Quickly, Kaneki and I followed behind. It was dark. We were walking until I felt I stepped on something hard. Rapidly, I move to see a person on the ground. Dead. Wait... this is the Ghouls death!! This isn't a normal person! This is a ghoul.

"Be careful with the ghouls." Yomo said. I looked around on the ground to see billions of ghoul's. Dead. EW!!!

"Let's go." Yomo said as we walked upstairs to another bridge.

"So what's the deal?" Kaneki asked as I we kept walking behind Yomo.

"Dubs have been spotted inside the 20th ward." Yomo responded in a monotone voice.

"Uh... and that means?" Kaneki had a slight surprised look while I stared at Yomo confused. Dubs?

"It's dangerous for out there." Yomo slowly took his jacket off. "So you're going to need to learn how to protect yourself. Amy, here you go." I looked over at him as he handed me his jacket. "Let's go."

I quickly moved away as Yomo quickly threw two punches at Kaneki. Luckily he quickly dodged them. "Hold on. I'm not ready!" Kaneki shouted. I feel bad for him. He seems like a boy who just won't put up a fight.

Yomo quickly kicked him, causing Kaneki to fall backwards panting. "Kaneki, are you o-"

"On the bright side," Yomo walked up to me and grabbed his jacked, "You're a natural at dodging attacks. It's everything else you suck at."

"You think..." Kaneki winced while slowly sitting up. "Stop by here after your shifts. I'll train you."

"Sure thing." Kaneki got up but bent down a bit, grabbing his knees for support.

"Are you coming or what?" Yomo asked, walking to Kaneki while Kaneki just looked up at him, panting. No response. "Amy. Your turn" M-My turn.

"N-No thanks." I shook my head while Yomo let go of his jacket and started to walk towards me.

"I never asked if you wanted to or not. I just said it's your turn." Once Yomo was close he started throwing me punches. I received a couple of them but dodged the rest. "Come on, Am-" In a flash, he threw a punch towards my face. I closed my eyes tightly, not wanting to see this. Putting a hand up, I quickly grabbed his hand to my surprise.

"I-I did it." Opening my eyes, I looked at Yomo with a surprise.

"Good job, Amy. But..." Rapidly, he swooped his legs, hitting my feet, making me fall down back. "Don't celebrate too early. Especially during a fight." Wincing I slowly got up. "I'll also train you. Okay then. We've got one more stop to make before we're done."
