It's been several days since Chris' training and he has now been working by himself without my guidance. I can say that I enjoyed our brief time together and we've been talking more since then. I notice him staring at me more often than usual and he also thinks he's slick by trying to get an opportunity to touch me when we're in close proximity by rubbing shoulders or playfully pushing me. I play along and pretend not to notice but I do, it's hard not to with a guy like him. On one of the training days I had asked him if he had any form of social media and he said, "I have a Facebook, why?" I told him, "You should add me or I'll send you a friend request". He said, "Ok". I ended up sending him a friend request one night while browsing on my Facebook. "We'll see if he accepts my friend request or not?" I said to myself. "I'm sure he will". A couple of days have passed and he has yet to accept my request. I know he saw it because it's been pending and you could obviously tell if the person denied or accepted you. He's been on Facebook talking to our co-worker Adrian since we're both friends with him and I could see Chris commenting on Adrian's wall posts. "Hmm, whatever, it's nothing to get worked up about". I thought to myself. I logged off of my account and texted my best friend Samarah. I asked her if she wanted to go on a dinner date since I didn't feel like staying in on a Friday night. She said yes and we ended up at a nice pizza joint.

While we were eating, I ended up telling her about Chris and what's been going on between us since the start of my training with him and up until now. "Damn girl, I've never seen you act this way about a guy in a while, do you like him?!" she smirks. "No, I just think he's cute that's all...nothing more, nothing less" I said. "Mhmm, well we'll see about that Erin." I just playfully rolled my eyes at her. While we ate, we made small talk here and there about work and school when I got a notification on my phone about a Facebook message. I opened it up and it was from Chris, it read, "What are you doing." Should I respond? After contemplating for a couple of minutes, I sent a message back. I simply replied that I was having dinner with a friend. And just like that he never responded back. Samarah was staring at me the whole time that I was responding back to his message and she asked me if it was Chris that I was writing too and I just replied back with a "Yeah." "So he gave you his number?" she asked. "No, he just wrote me a message on Facebook and asked what I was doing. I told him that I was having dinner with a friend, he never responded back." I told her. "This is how it all begins Erin, just wait on it." I laughed at her response and told her that it's all a misunderstanding. "You're getting way ahead of yourself Samarah, there is nothing going on between us." she puts her hands up in defense, I'm just saying girl...wait on it." she says. I had nothing more to say about the topic at hand so I quickly changed the subject and went on about her relationship with Sean. That got her to forget about Chris, thank god.

After dinner, she dropped me off back at home. Once I made it into my room, I dropped my bag and changed into my pajamas, did my hygiene and went straight to bed. I laid there while watching TV and decided to go on my phone to check my social media. After checking my IG I went on my Facebook and noticed that he still hasn't responded. I logged off after scrolling through my boring feed and laid my head back onto my pillow. "What is going on with me? Do I really like him? Is it that apparent that everyone else can see what's going on between us but me? But then again, what do they know if they're not there to see what goes on between Chris and I, Or am I just overthinking this whole situation?" with those thoughts swirling around in my head I decided to ignore them so I changed the channel to a movie and as time went by I was getting drowsy. I turned the television off and went to sleep thinking of what tomorrow would bring.

Sorry for the long delay in updates but I've been really busy with school and family. I'll do my best to get those chapters up and going again. Until then, what do you think about this chapter?
