16. Visitors

Kara rubbed her eyes tiredly. Ariel had kept her up half the night sobbing and apologizing. Kara had long ago forgiven her, but the girl wouldn't take a simple "I forgive you...." so now, she was sitting at the kitchen bar trying to keep her eyes open. "Late night, Kara?" Pete winked at her she threw a small piece of bread at him in response only making him laugh. Jacob gave her back a rub in response and she leaned against him closing her eyes.

"Is everyone here?" Brandon asked.

Mumbles filled the room, "Okay, so today, is going to be simple, and a bit of a treat......we have a gift from home for each of you..... a person that your family thought would suit you best as guidance. You get to spend a day with them here in the house with the rest of these guys....." Brandon announced.

Shouts of hoorays and a few worried murmurs filled the room. "Alright, so first up is Miss. Shelby....." Brandon teased as Shelby stood up and dusted herself off.

Then a spitting image of Shelby walked into the room, Shelby didn't look to greatly enthused, "Hey sis, such a surprise," Shelby said with an eye roll.

"Whatever," Shelby's sister said as she continued to text.

"Mr. Richard....." Brandon tried next.

"Who...." Richard started, but then the most precious old lady came into the room.

"MRS. WALKER!" Richard exclaimed excitedly rushing to hug her.

"Sweet boy, how are you!" she cooed patting his cheeks before kissing them.

"I could be better, how are you?!" he asked happily.

"Could be better, I'm missing you though, helping around the house and all, you're the grandchild I never had!" she said patting his cheek again and he laughed.

"Landon's up next....." Brandon announced.

A guy strolled into the room then and Landon started laughing, "Of course," he teased giving the guy a man handshake.

Such a variety...... "Ariel...." Brandon said next.

Ariel stood up uncertainly when a boy that looked just like Ariel stuck his head in and she squealed racing into his arms as he spun her around, "How's my baby sister?" he cooed.

"Brilliant now that you are!" she squealed happily.

"Alrighty, Mr. Pete....." Brandon said next.

He shakily stepped forward, when a buff guy stepped out. "Hey little bro!" he cheered.

Pete didn't look pleased, but sighed, "Hey....." he trailed off as his brother wrestled him into a headlock.

"Kara...." Brandon said with a small smirk on his face.

Kara stepped forward when her jaw dropped at who stepped threw the door. Her hands flew to her mouth, "Hey babe, miss me?" he said with a wink.

Richard stopped talking to the old lady to stare at the guy sizing him up..... he was definitely attractive he decided. That's when Kara raced into his arms jumping on him crying. "I missed you!" she sobbed.

"What's it been three years?" he teased her.

She glared at him playfully and he kissed her cheek as he set her down, and winked at her, "Well time has definitely passed, because you grew some boobs...." he told her eyeing them.
