Our principal.
"Follow me!" He said.
As I followed Mr. Daniel to his office I thought of as many excuses as possible as to why I was late. My mom dropped me off too late.....My car broke down...?
When we finally reached the office I had an excuse in mind. We walked through the front of the office. Mr.Daniel told me to take a seat in front of his office door.
I waited as he helped other students. I even met this guy named Eddie who entertained me until he had to leave.
When it was finally my turn to talk to Mr. Daniel, I walked into his office ready to give my speech. Not too long after I shut the door, a hard knock followed.
Mr. Daniel opened the door and I could see the person standing in the doorway.
Alex.
"Yes, Alex?" Mr. Daniel said in his monotone voice.
"Ms. Brown sent me here to......" He looks into the office, eventually making eye contact with me.
This is not good.
"Hannah?"
I ignore him.
