Skye and Ben walked through the streets of Japan, on their way to their absolute favorite sushi bar. Skye kept looking down at her pearled necklace in awe, she was amazed at the quality of it usually in Japan it is hard to find real jewelry of such high quality and standerd.
"I'm glad you like it," Ben said smiling down at her.
"It would be extremely hard not to! Skye exclaimed replying to Ben's comment.
They smiled at each other and walked into the sushi bar, Ben holding the door open for Skye."Ohayō," the waitress greeted.
"Ohayō, 2 Seki kudasai" Ben replied smiling in a friendly way.
"Kono-yō shite kudasai" the waitress said leading them to two open seats at the sushi bar.(translation)
"Good morning ," the waitress greeted.
"Good morning , seats for two please " Ben replied smiling in a friendly way.
"This way please" the waitress said leading them to two open seats at the bar.At the sushi bar, 10:36 am
"You know Ben, you're Japanese has gotten really good! I'm still having trouble understanding what the heck the teachers are saying," Skye said frowning as they sat down to eat.
Ben gave a small chuckle, "It took a lot of practice!"
"and patience," he added.
"Great two things I don't have the ability to do or be," Skye replied as Ben just gave a soft laugh. They inspected the sushi moving around on the conveyer belt. They each eyed something that looked good and grabbed it.
Ben decided on salmon fashion sandwiches while Skye ate a salmon hand roll. They ate their sushi in comfortable silence, until Skye spoke up, "Ben why do you have to study in Greece?" she questioned with saddened expressions.
"Well Skye as much as I love you, mom and dad, I have to. I belong there the vibes, the history, the feels, the aroma it all speaks to me such vast beauty and mystery, who wouldn't want to go there?" His eyes lit up with joy sparkling in them.
The way Ben described it made Skye's heartache, he was so good at describing things he gave things flavor and almost painted color in situations that seemed dull he made reality seem like fantasy. He was truly gifted, he deserved to go to Greece to study Creative Writing and Speech no matter what Skye could say. He was a flower that was blooming, a lion learning to roar, a cheetah learning to run. But the way he described Greece made Skye miss and long for a chance to see her home country again, she really missed Greece but what could she do about it? She was only twelve, she was still so young.
Making friends was a lot harder in Japan. In Greece she had so many, but here in Japan everyone had a place, everyone knew who they were or who they wanted to be. So Ben was Skye's only real friend.
Ben payed the waitress and they left the sushi bar.
The time now was 12:48 p.m."I miss Greece so much the way you can describe it is so beautiful, but I can't miss anything as much as I'll miss you Ben." Skye expressed with a drained mood on her face where as Ben just smiled.
" Be happy Skye, we think we have time but we don't and that's why I have to go but I love you Skye!" Ben exclaimed squeezing Skye tight to his side.
Skye gave a small smile, " How are you so good with words and where did it come from?"
