There was an envelope taped to the door. It had "To Taxi Driver" written on it. I felt a chill run through me as I got closer to the door. I took the envelope off of the door and slowly opened it with trembling hands. A small piece of paper fell out from the envelope. I picked it up and placed it in my pocket for inspection later on. I took out the larger, folded piece of note paper and read the following:

Dear Taxi Driver,

Assuming that you opened the envelope, I would like to say hello to you. And congratulations on answering the call and coming to this address. Now, you may be wondering why there's nobody to be taken to the tube station...well, if you are, you will be wondering for a little while longer. See, the thing is, no one can know you've seen this. There's something I need done, and only you can do it. You need to go to the address that I've left on the other slip of paper. Ask for Duncan. He'll tell you what you need to do next. Oh and by the way...I don't suggest you go into the house. Things got a little...messy. Don't bother calling the police. We're watching you.

The other slip of paper had the following address on it:
435
Birdford Avenue

I put the letter and address in my pocket and looked around. I could feel hidden eyes watching my every move and it chilled me to the core. I saw that the front door of the house was slightly ajar. I remembered the warning from the letter but I couldn't bring myself to turn away without at least checking. You can never be too sure what you would find and plus the situation was bizarre as it is, it couldn't get much worse.

I opened the door and stepped inside.
