It wasn't an appreciable start to my year. My parents are now officially divorced. It's not a tremendous shock to me;they had been having trouble for a while. However, its caused my little sister Maddie some devastation. Nevertheless, we have moved away from everything and everyone.

We arrived in Tamworth last Tuesday. I enrol in school tomorrow-it's March, the middle of the semester... Going to have to catch up somehow.
Tamworth is divergent from my erstwhile town. My previous town was wild, crowded and bright. Tamworth is the complete opposite. Quiet, empty and dull. I haven't made any friends yet, I'd rather keep to myself. Maddie on the other hand is already having her new friends sleepover tonight. I don't mind being on my own. I've always been used to it.
Tamworth is captivating. With enchanting scenery and a friendly neighbourhood it seems without flaws. Still, I managed to discover one. Dad. We got on well together. Jaimie and dad against the world. Regardless, dad couldn't look after us. Not with the state he's in now. A few weeks before the divorce he started drinking. He's destroyed himself...
That doesn't mean that I'm dejected though. My present life is beatific with mum and Maddie. Hopefully, my school life will be carefree too.
